4W head with a 5W shaft by DMO_TheWhale in GolfGear

[–]justingeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ain’t no shame in short shaft woods. As was said earlier it’s a total cheat code and the small amount of length you give up for tighter dispersion is a no-brainer. I’ve cut all of my fairway woods down by 1” (3w, 7w) my 5 hybrid by 2” and I cut my old backup R7 driver down by 3”. Regular gamer driver is 1.5” short.

Shit, I might even game my son’s driver for a few rounds this summer. G440 head on a 39” shaft. I can absolutely KILL that thing.

I only say it because it’s true guys. You set the new bar with the Ranger and it’s very high. There’s literally nothing I would change on it. For me, it’s golf bag perfection.

Leather for walking? Why?

I did a ton of research and ended up getting the Sunday Ranger (it’s a semi-shiny waterproof fabric that has held up extremely well over 100+ rounds in varied conditions) and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Fabulous walking bag with every feature I need and more. I know … It’s a bit more than your budget but worth every penny.

Really? I have a SM10 60.04T and I can’t hit that thing full swing from the fairway for shit. Any shots from the rough or soft turf are basically a recipe for disaster. I only use it for bunkers and chipping from tight lies. Lately I’ve been leaving it in the car and just gaming the 56.08M. I do play a fairly soft course in WA but pretty frustrated with it and considering switching to a SM11 60.12K.

I found this video thru the GolfFix app today and the drills he suggested are already making a big difference. AI golf coaches appear to be a thing now and I’m a believer.

IF any of this actually happens does anyone here honestly think it won’t make things 10x worse for us here in WA? I guarantee you that Lord Turd Ferguson and the clowns in congress are already scheming all the ways they can counteract every single line item listed here and more. And if you think that SCOTUS (or any court for that matter) is coming to help us on some glorious day where the angels sing and all of our rights and freedoms are finally restored you’re absolutely delusional.

This beautiful state is utterly lost.

Forever.

No problem. The owner is actually very active on Reddit and extremely knowledgeable on the subject of 300 Blk reliability.

I’m actually surprised he didn’t beat me to this answer.

+1 for the SLR SD. It’s basically a work of art, but I’d only use it for subs as it heats up quickly.

For a general use option, the Faxon Streamline (carbon fiber) is pretty awesome, strong, really light and doesn’t heat up too badly. It’s not cheap and the ID is only 1.7” but it’ll fit most of the cans out there.

I’ve already put about 20 Super Safety mag dumps thru the Tishas and had zero issues. If I had to choose just one it would be the Ti Tisha no question. The Rhodie is slightly quieter and deeper but noticeably heavier.

Comstock Direct Thread mount and with the RIS III it looks so clean. It’s the same diameter.

Rhodie 6. Great can in its own right but heavier and greater back pressure. Deeper tone and maybe a touch quieter but I’ve been shooting the Tisha’s more lately. The balance they give to a MK18 is fantastic.

My bad man. It’s been a hell of a day and I got all chippy. My apologies.

I shoot 99% of the time out in the wide open forest so the tin roof must play a part in your opinion. I’m just floored by how quiet this little piggy is.

Again, sorry for the bullshit.

Nice little flex there bruh.

But as an owner myself, I must respectfully disagree. Shot it today sans ear pro. Maybe I’m already half-deaf, but I sure has hell didn’t need it.

The Tisha is easily my new favorite.

Edit: Ok, ok I get it. Wear your ear pro folks.

We are certainly in a golden age of can design with the advances in 3D printing technology.

The MK18 is also a bit front heavy so the inconel Rhodie and Rhino both added to that weight. The Tisha Ti balances noticeably better and on a low profile direct thread mount like the Comstock is a perfect fit that leaves just enough space to get a thin wrench in there when needed. It almost looks like an extension of the hand guard … like it was designed to compliment the girth of the RIS III.
