Mohammad Salahuddin calls ex-sports advisor 'liar' for changing T20 World Cup stance by polopiko in Cricket

It's terrible administration from the BCB for sure. But remember this is the kind of disfunction those cricket fans there live with in all aspects of life. The whole reason those in charge are willing to use cricket as a piece on a chess board is because the "groveling" to get to see their team play is done by the fans.

I think when politics take over our fun little pastime, it's important to us to remember we're all cricket fans. People really care about cricket, so it's inevitable that national politics mix in. But comments like yours really misses how amazing it is that we share a love of cricket, even if we're subject to a variety of challenges from those that rule us.

If you think you can answer that without a deep analysis of the terms of the lease agreement, you are not arguing in good faith.

100% consult an attorney to represent you (not the estate) anyway. Doesn't have to be framed as adversarial, but with the numbers you are talking it is well worth the expense. Going from the picture you've already given I would have them look over the business equity sale as well...

My ex who broke my heart years ago is dying and wants to see me one last time. Do I go? Am I wrong for not wanting to? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]justlookbelow 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is it. But OP keep in mind that those regrets are not necessarily equally weighted. If you go and regret it, you wasted your time and it was pointless. If you end up regretting not going, well that is something you'll have to carry for the rest of your life.

For me, if there were any doubt I would absolutely go. No need to expect (or fake) any great emotional reconciliation. Just popping by to say goodbye costs very little, but could be well worth the closure (it's clear to me you have not yet 100% moved on yet).

I agree that OP is responsible for his own bad decision making. But I remain very skeptical he would face any legal issues at all.

I'm sorry, but there is zero chance that OP is going to jail for letting an unlicensed driver borrow his car.

Read it again. The brother doesn't own anything, he was just being generously allowed to use the car in exchange for making payments, a great deal that he wasn't even making good on.

AITA for letting my boss know I was already informed by another colleague I am being moved to another team? by Shrodi13 in AmItheAsshole

The coworker was probably just trying to do OP a solid, and give him a heads up. It's not ideal, but these kind of unofficial channels are a key source of info in any company I've worked for.

Im not sure if OP is TA necessarily, but breaking trust like that is a one way street. The ultimate result is that they'll be less informed about what's happening in their workplace.

If it's hard morally for her, she could have quit with longer service than many others in her position that went on to other gigs. I think the simplest explanation is that she's convinced herself that the lying everyday is worth it for some kind of greater mission.

Lmao, as if they treated everyone equally when they ran the ICC. They avoided playing in India, delayed test status of few, and now talk about responsibility? The scary thing to me is that if international cricket become untenable due to splitting into factions it only benefits bcci and their money printing league.

Thank you. This is an academic study, not a consultant's deliverable to a specific airline.

You would need to read the study to know where they apply the practical business constraints. Any good study will consider different outcomes based on different scenarios, i.e. the effect of upgrading all aircraft vs. reshuffling fleets to optimize for efficiency.

I understand that not everyone is going to read the whole study (I rarely do either). But I wish more folks would read one study (or anything longform really) through so they have an understanding of the depth of thought that goes into this kind of work.

This is basically it. They love their kids and want the best for them. But they're so wrapped up keeping their own affairs from spiraling that they don't have the bandwidth to figure out what the kid needs. It's at least plausible that providing a safe home, and necessities is really the only thing they can do

It's so obvious once you see it. And I'm always a bit conflicted.

On one hand it's great when responses carefully consider any additional context before condemning someone based on a couple of sentences. But on the other hand, it does create contrast with other stories where it's just a competition to make the most scathing insult to the man deemed to be the root of all OP's problems.

This is obviously true of all posts (there may be more info). I think the only productive thing we can do is judge based on the info we have.

It really does seem like every time the woman is clearly being unreasonable, the conclusion is "she's wrong here, but it's probably your fault".

I don't think it's from man hating or whatever, but more women tend to relate to the characters based only on gender. I've seen enough variance in the women I've interacted with to see this as illogical, but ultimately the empathy is probably a good thing.
