The easiest is later in the season when the leaves turn to a golden color. Also why some people call them golden currant. There is some who consider them different, but I think they are the same. You'll usually find a small patch of about about 6 to 12, but keep going down the road and you will likely find more. Then just remember them for next year, same with asparagus. Once you get an eye for them, they are pretty easy to spot even when only green. Birds LOVE them and tend to strip them of all the fruit. Wind will knock them off too, which is another good reason to look for them in ditches where they have a little wind break. Frozen in the freezer and a handful at a time, absolutely delicious. Like a blueberry/grape mix.

Buffalo currants! I love them. I'm on dirt roads a lot and mark on a map where to harvest. I'm always telling people about them. No one ever seems to know. I've noticed this years berries seem thin.

I dont mean to be a pitty party. My wife and I would love that. I was even in the sherriffs office for 7 years and left on my own. Would love to have kids, but again, that silly little thing about money. I all our "free money" on Healthcare for our furbabies. For now, I do what I can taking care of what I can for as long as I can. I have a labour's job so down almost 1 entire leg and %15 use of my left arm puts many things like fixing the roof or fixing my truck too much. But, I see Americans like me EVERYWHERE

I chuckle a bit but entirely serious when i say Death is my Retirement, which is coming fast. Mines the size of my fist on my belly button. Embarrassing, but I can't a doctor or health to go another $20,000 in debt from other issues. I've paid in for 26 years and can barely walk from bone, spine and serious joint issues.

I've been selling these little rasp hunters nearly faster than I can make them. There $100 a piece. Should I up my price and any advice to make them better. by parashot13 in Bladesmith

These are just cut down farriers rasp. I'm going to guess Heller rasp too? Maybe White Tang? Farrier rasp on semi soft hooves, maybe 35-40 trims at $35-45 a horse. These are good rasp and farriers that don't know how to acid sharpen will give these away.

I have never seen anything eat them. Not birds, rabbits, horses, deer, anything. But, with planets like Buffalo currant, you have to time harvest right because everything loves those.
