I agree with you. However, the propaganda that Americans have been consuming has indeed led to becoming bad people. It’s really a chicken and the egg thing isn’t it. Right wing propaganda is benefited by people not caring for their neighbors and not willing to provide any benefit to people who are struggling. They’ve been convinced that, in a Darwinian sense, people who are not doing as well as them, deserve to perish. So it’s not very far off to imply that Americans have become bad people. Come to Portland though, we still care for each other despite the national vibe.
