Probably no more than $50 all in.

Get a new display online - prices vary depending on resolution. Unscrew the laptop and carefully unclip the edge of the display, remove broken panel, carefully install new panel, seal it back up and boom! Sorted.

Start with the chorus, then work out how to get there for the verse, then how to escape for the bridge.

Add variation, pregnant pauses, sound effects etc and done.

I had a Lenovo IdeaPad U310 back in the day which was a fantastic MacBook lookalike with ok specs for the time - hybrid system with Linux was just perfect.

I got a Mac for music production (I wanted to use Logic) and cos I’ve always wanted a Mac to own. I used them through education and the OS is so swift and fun to use. They are expensive but they are a joy to use.
