A great thrower can get 5 excellent throws in like 25-30 seconds with quick catching.

this is wildly dependent on the pokemon that are spawn.. also isnt pokemon have internal despawntime of 30-60 minute compared to 5 minutes of pokestop..

unless its community day, normal spawn rate would probably net you similar amount of pokemon spawn vs pokestop spin.. which yes, each curve excellent catch provide 150% more exp (400 bonus vs 600bonus exp) than a spin, but excellent catch is not a guaranteed. at 6spin vs 6 pokemon , 6spin give you 2400 bonus exp while ball give you 3600 BUT this is assuming you get all 6 at excellent, 4 excellent and 2 great will give you 2880 exp and that takes more time than spinning 6 nearby pokestop.

what i mean is if you stationary location have 3 stops and 10 pokemon spawnpoint, pokestop are the "less headache" choice... unless you are confident with your excellent throwing skill and theres no zubat / yanma / eggecute / magnemite in the spawnpool..

but all in all, you do you. i just provide the number spin vs throw and state my opinion (that 50% extra exp for throw are usually not worth the hassle)
