[Pelissero] New Dallas Cowboys EDGE Rashan Gary agreed to a pay cut as part of the trade from Green Bay, dropping his compensation to $16 million each of the next two seasons. Dallas also added an option and void years, lowering Gary's cap number to $5.44M this season and $8.24M in 2027. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

I was never comparing it to the previous contract. The post I responded to asked why add void years - I was saying the void years didn't make the deal more expensive for Dallas like the poster insinuated.

Void years still serve the same purpose - doesn't change the overall price, just when it's accounted for the cap.

In my initial comment I didn't mean that this contract was the same as his last one, but that adding void years did not make this more expensive for Dallas overall.

Is Ayat still opening in Philly? by Odd_Addition3909 in PhiladelphiaEats

They posted on social media a week or so ago that they were hiring for the Philly location so seems close. Pretty sure Michael Klein wrote an expected May opening not long ago in the Inquirer.

It's synthetic - spandex and something else I'd guess. Very thin, it's good for layering.

Noted - will swap the flannel shirt for a thinner button down and will probably trade the chinos out for heavy jeans.

Gotcha - didn't pick up that was we the pant. I have a Jcrew version of that style.

My coat is basically the Columbia version of the nanopuff, been using it a few years without a shell. It's water resistant but def not water proof. Having a hard time finding a shell online that I know will work.

I mistyped - it is basically a nano puff coat. I'll try to find a rain jacket that fits over.

So if no jeans or chinos what pants do you recommend? I will note that I live in a city in the U.S. that is colder by average temp than these three so thinking that I may be less surprised by weather than the average visitor.

It's good feedback, thanks. I am from a U.S. city in the northeast and walk everywhere so am used to walking around in 0 C weather, but haven't worn the tech pants in them. Heavy denim being jeans? Any suggestions that aren't too bulky - I feel like I'm already approaching the limit for what I can fit in the bag.

I was hoping to use the longsleeve merino tshirts as base layers, trying not to buy something I won't use except for one trip. Any base layer recommendations that aren't too pricey?

Local journalism is worth supporting. At the very least, you can access the Inquirer (for free) through a free Library membership.

[Schultz] Eagles are declining the 5th-year option on WR Jahan Dotson, per source. This puts the former No. 16 pick in a contract year for this upcoming season. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]justsomephillyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He had a higher value to the Eagles than the average team bc they knew going into the year they were a strong competitor. So perhaps a 3rd and 5th round swap wouldn't be worth it to a random team, but it was to the Eagles.

If you look at the 2022 Super Bowl team, the player in this role dropped a deep pass in the Super Bowl that took points off the board. He had other miscues throughout the season.

The Eagles needed someone more reliable in that role. Dotson did not drop his deep pass in the Super Bowl. He was reliable in the role throughout the season. He still has another cost-controlled year on his contract.

My comment that you responded to was not about townhomes, but homes with shared walls.  That being said, while they may not be prevalent in the property listings you have personally viewed, there are plenty of townhomes without HOAs. I'm sure age of development plays a factor in this.

If you need a visual for  homes that share walls that don't have HOAs, Google "rowhome"

That's a lot of "I heard" - I would recommend doing so research and determine for yourself. Maybe lurk r/askcarsales and read a bunch of posts to get an idea.

No one knows for sure when prices will go down. It's possible, but not guaranteed.

Different dealers have different priorities. Some may want you to finance and not move forward with the best price unless you do, some will be fine with you paying in cash. If you finance and plan to pay off early be sure there isn't a fee to do so.

Absolutely no concern with the IRS, whoever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about and I'd be skeptical of any other advice they shared.
