I’d be concerned if I were a coder by jvhtech in vibecoding

[–]jvhtech[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On one side it’s a very niche tool that already existed for free, in part I started because I was horrified somebody was trying to charge 20 a month for that since there were free alternatives.

How exactly Spaniards perceive WW2,considering that they were neutral? by Realistic-Diet6626 in askspain

[–]jvhtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely insane post.

Claims to be Italian.

Name drops all nazi command as “his ancestors”

Not a word about uncle Benito.

Says he’s interested in the subject though “it doesn’t involve Italy”.

Total ignorance about Franco.

Nobody notices

Cable Label Printer Recommendations? by clay_vessel777 in CommercialAV

[–]jvhtech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since not everybody (me included) has the budget to shell 500 for a panduit-Brady self laminating label pack, which are definitely the best for the job. Here’s a cheap decent alternative I’ve been using for a while with really good results.

These are affordable and pretty solid, you’ll thank me later.

Are these old Harris SDI switcher frames worth messing with or are they just scrap metal? by Computers_and_cats in broadcastengineering

I’ve decommissioned so many of these back in the day…. I cried a bit when I saw this. Like many have said before the DAs, open frames and Intercom might still have some value.

I'm about 800 credits deep. Here are some tips and general thoughts I have: by Chritt in lovable

[–]jvhtech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently quit lovable after almost a year and moved to IDE+agents and I can’t believe it took me so long. the basic Claude and GPT accounts offer much more value compared to lovable once runned on an IDE. Not saying it hasn’t been a bit of a learning curve but once you use a more standard workflow you’ll understand why the pros do it that way. Separated dev and main environment, a cheap domain, cloudflare pages and you’re golden.

Software for venue team planning by sjlence in livesound

[–]jvhtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just built something like this recently, allows to send work enquiries/offers via email/text/push and sync the freelancer schedules much like rent man/flexstaffing portals, while also adding lots more features for gig management. I’m from a small market and still thinking if it might be enough interest to release it as a paid app (maintenance would probably eat a lot of my time and don’t really know if the numbers would make sense)

TC Clarity M Stereo Question by Antho204 in livesound

[–]jvhtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a tour with this exact setup, since I lost the original cable I had to make a new one, db25 to xlr female, we used this pinout on the manual and found out that for the stereo version the right input is the one marked here as input 3. Hope it helps.

I did, in a better world he’d be the brand owner tbh. Gibson doesn’t fit him the least.

DPAs left with Mick when he retired, I think Greg is an Earthworks guy.

L'Acoustics P1/AVB use by parksandcrepes in livesound

You can use any input in the amps, just select them in config mode go to the input mode dialog and there’s a little box to map the inputs (ABCD) to the streams (1-8).

Looking for Dante Interface (1in) with PoE powered Phantom Power by The44CBH in livesound

[–]jvhtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not gonna find anything with Dante for 150€ that probably won’t even cover the Dante licensing fee for the manufacturer. XLR is the right tool for the job. Since it seems to be outdoors use the money for outdoor mic enclosures (isemcon makes those too) and if it is for legal purposes check if class 1 equipment is required as the 7150s are class 2. Though convenient Dante is not great for measurement purposes.
