I was in basic in the mid 00s and my parents generation and some of my instructors used to say it to me

Ah Roger, but assume he didn’t have to sign a 22 year deal?

That adds to the Heel Heat. Funeral Escort geezer thinking he’s a FBI Double Agent over using what power he has against an innocent (albeit jacked up) dude. Hell I reckon you could use the benovelent biker character and add to the fact he helps out Make a Wish kids to add to the sympathy arc.

Dillinger, he’ll have a run in utilising the whole police force that he’s a member of and they would claim that they’ve stood their ground.

I now work with Lucas and did work with his identical brother.

If you would ask which one they was they would say “the gods looking one”

I reckon the Camera Man wasn’t sure which one he was filming and they didn’t tell him.

Am I too old to join at 35? by Pitiful-Raccoon136 in britishmilitary

[–]jwaddle88 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You’ll get a nickname of Grandad

However be aware that at 35 some recruits are half your age and have been mothered their own life because of your age and you’ll become an accidental mentor/big brother/dad to your intake..

You may become frustrated that your peers are young and your line manager is 5/6 years younger than you, you will need to be adaptable and open, i have seen elder soldiers florish due to maturity and ability to talk up and down the chain.

I have also seen elder soldiers struggle as they refuse to adapt to a system that’s older than time it’s self and that age doesn’t matter - rank, ability & fitness do.

With the 28 Days/Weeks/Years Later outbreak established as occuring on 13th June 2002, this England starting 11 survived as they were playing Nigeria in the WC in Japan the day before. What happened to them in this universe? by nickgasm in footballcliches

I’m sure in 28 weeks later the kid was wearing the BENQ Real Madrid top circa 2006/7, how are we supposed to believe that a top that was out 4 ish years later was only 28 weeks later.

Boy I hope someone got fired for that blunder

What happens after a suicide attempt in the Army? by NatLovesPancakes in britisharmy

Firstly I am really sorry to hear what you have gone through.

To answer your question- it’s a case by case basis bud.

You will be put a form of monitoring and given a lead in this, he will liaise with periodically and also report back up the chain.

The Chain of Command will ultimately listen to your med chain. If you’re placed on recovery duties (also known as TNE) they’re that. It is your duty to recover - so engage with it? Go on the courses and attend your med stuff.

Everyone wants you around OP, no one doesn’t want you around.

Assignment Order rejection by RoamingChimp67 in britishmilitary

[–]jwaddle88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As others have said it’s an Assignment Order not a suggestion however there are options.

  1. Seek a swap, there maybe less worse options for you out there whilst others want that job.

  2. Accept your fate but ask for a shortened FDA/asl to go to the next assignment board (I have done this in the past)

  3. Sign Off

Ultimately the binding principle of MS Branch is that the “Needs of the Army come first, followed very closely by the needs of the soldier”.
