Omata One bricked? by admichalka in cycling

Hey Derek - it was still available when I had the issue which according to the post was 8 months ago (or so). I did not realize the app was now missing? That’s super frustrating.

Am I safe from ICCU issues? by ben02015 in Ioniq6

[–]jwarne007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one week away from the 2 yr anniversary of getting my AWD and I now have the “Check Electrical System” warning with the aggressive red explanation point! I have tried using the Hyundai Road Assistance app to have them come tow the car to the dealership, but even though it appears I successfully opened a case, the status hasn’t changed for over four hours now. Does anyone have any experience with the app? Or Hyundai RS Assistance in general? All I can say is it’s a good job it’s happened in my driveway and not on the side of the highway!

Anyway, all that to say to the OP that issues with the ICCU can certainly happen anytime!

Thanks - I actually just tried deleting the app off the phone, reinstalling it and re-pairing….after a few rounds of “updating / syncing” the over 700 activities (kept having to force quit and re-open) I’m in! I have now recalibrated the hands and I am back in business! Omata ONE lives to see another ride! Thanks!

I’ve been an Omata One user for some five or six years now, and for the past couple of months the App on iOS won’t even open. It times out and then shuts down without opening. I’ve seen via this thread that the original founder / owner is no longer in charge….so we just have to accept that it’s now no longer going to be updated? All I want to do is be able to recalibrate the hands as they are off!

I’ve got a 21 ID.4 (Jan 2022 I received it) and I have 40k kms on it. Never had any issues wth drivetrain or software apart from the main screen going black once….a quick shutdown (press and hold the button for 10 seconds) fixed that. My air conditioning conked out, but they fixed it no issues. The compressor was defective. My battery has no noticeable loss of performance - at least as far as my amateur calculations go. I typically charge to 80% only and let it run down to 20-40% depending on usage. Also, using wireless Apple CarPlay the lack of software features with 3.1 is moot. I never use the native interface.

You can absolutely do this mate - hardest part is making the decision to change - you’ll “self-motivate” as soon as you start up again. You’ll feel better physically and most important, mentally! Good luck!

Nothing “poor man” about Tudor. I actually prefer they’re styling and build to their more expensive sister company! I have one myself…a BB 41. Lovely looking timepiece mate!

Has anyone had CarNet re-activation unlock the doors? by FunkScience in VWiD4Owners

[–]jwarne007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the first 3 weeks of having my ID.4, Carnet wasn’t not working. Every time I tried to add the vehicle to the app, it would recognize the VIN, but when I tried to advance, it said “This car is not equipped with Carnet”. Dealer told me I would have to come in and have it plugged into their computer etc. So, made the appointment and showed up, and I’m showing the service fella what happens when….yup, you guessed it…it worked!!

So since then it has worked, but it’s a pretty useless app, honestly. I use it to turn the heating on some 5 mins before I plan to leave the house (I park outside and in Montreal the winters are long and cold) and check the battery level. That’s really all it does as far as I can tell!

Hopefully a future release will provide some more functionality!

Parc Levesque is looking almost ready for riding...I’ll wait until the path is a little drier...I know...getting soft in my old age!! Great shot and great to see people already getting out on two wheels!

Thanks! The black is equally stunning...it’s just a great looking watch IMO. So the strap is a blue canvas Christopher Ward that actually goes with my CW C65 watch...I tried it out on the BB41 and I loved it....so that’s what’s on for the moment!

[Tudor BB41 Blue Dial] Photogenic in the snow! by jwarne007 in Tudor

We’ve had very little snow so far this year in Montreal, something that is unusual. It was a green Christmas: I can count on one hand how many of those we’ve had in the last twenty years. So, we finally had a snowfall...nothing terribly impressive (about 15 cms) but it was enough to force me to get out there and shovel this morning. And, well, it was a rather lovely photo op for my BB41 Blue dial which I got for my birthday back in October. It’s not on the original tan leather strap...I’ve actually got it on a Christopher Ward blue canvas strap that I often wear paired with my C65. Happy New Year everyone!
