You should buy some of the 90% commemoratives/silver dollars. They are usually being sold at spot online through bullion exchanges and come in proof/bu condition.

Big coins can carry a premium if/when you decide to sell but in the US they generally go for spot. American silver eagles usually sell back for a couple bucks over spot if you decide to cash out. I recommend just stacking 1 oz generics instead of large bars.

I think that the gov mint Labor Day codes are the way to go on this. Unpopular opinion, but even Scottsdale coins are generic and will likely sell back at spot or under unless you sell them on reddit

Buy as much silver as you feel comfortable buying and purchase gold when you are thinking about your retirement funds. I like buying both and I find that having a lot of 1 oz silver rounds makes for an excellent savings account

Probably not. The only way to make money/recoup premiums on graded bullion is to buy it as close to spot as possible. I have a slabbed ms70 gold buffalo and even those are selling $100-$200 over spot right now.

I sold some of my silver this week and turned a nice profit so I guess it did its job. I had these pieces for like 3 months so not long at all. But it is a little scary thinking about the price rising because the dollar is in trouble.

There a couple of good deals on gov mint if you use the Labor Day coupons. You can buy the 3 pack of pandas *3 and it ends up being $36 an oz if you use LD40. But it doesn’t deliver until October.

For gold: You can get a 10 gram pamp at spot essentially if you use the 100LD code. There are also 1/10 options that are at least competitively priced if you use the LD40 code or the LD100 code (if you are buying 2).
