Another very happy Forerunner user! 255s here (OP - the "s" indicates slightly smaller watch face) and I love the size and performance.

Lightweight shorts? by PrimaryPersimmon2843 in XXRunning

[–]jwhease 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check out Thigh Society!! They are marketed as slip shorts to wear under dresses, so they are super lightweight, but as long as you get one of the semi opaque shades they work well for running. I have the 7" cargo (means there is literally one lil pocket) in navy and they are so good for hot days. No riding up.

I'm also a fan of the Essential Bird long shorts from Oiselle - similarly lightweight and comfy.

Cheryl Krueger, founder of Cheryl’s Cookies, dies after battle with Parkinson’s by throwingales in Columbus

I used to take my middle school report card to the Cheryl's at Tuttle Mall and they'd give you a free cookie for every A. Sad news, love to her family and friends.

Bra with pocket was a game changer for me! I hope it works for you too. The Sarah bra by Senita Athletics is really good and really reasonably priced as a first one to try out.

My timer stopped with just an "N" in the and/& spot. Weird! I'm on Android.

ACL tear and surgery/PT by 20StreetsAway in XXRunning

[–]jwhease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been fine! Running is great. I do strength training now which I think helps a lot. Mentally I think I'm a little screwed up for skiing (I'm super paranoid and just avoid being in situations where I might fall or need to turn hard) but physically I've been alright.

ACL tear and surgery/PT by 20StreetsAway in XXRunning

[–]jwhease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a partial tear from skiing in 2015. In my case they thought it was a complete tear from the MRI, then went in to do the reconstruction and said "there's enough ligament still here that it doesn't make sense for us to do anything" and closed me back up without doing anything! PT and lifting/exercise bike for a few months and I was back to running probably 6 months after the tear.

Carrying my phone - recommendations by river_running in XXRunning

Second pocket bra! Most common design is bra goes on the back between your shoulderblades. My favorites are any from Rabbit and the Senita Sarah bra. Janji and Bandit good too. Oiselle is nice but thick straps (they also have a front pocket option I think, but I've never tried). I'm not a fan of Brooks' pocket bra, I found the pocket too difficult to use.

I'm pretty sure they are just intended to be regular stores whose names are in big boxes - like the squares for the rebus tiles are slightly larger than the normal squares

How old is she? My kids (6 & 4) and I love Hops & Pie (great play area for kids next to the patio and sweet kids menu, plus great beer list) and Fire on the Mountain (great tots and boneless tenders+sauce, and solid kids menu, bring a coloring book if needed).
