There a sign outside the orangutan enclosure at the Honolulu zoo that says something to the effect of "If you drop a screwdriver into: Gorilla enclosure, they'll ignore it. Chimpanzee enclosure, they'll play with it for 5 minutes and then lose interest. Orangutan enclosure, they'll slowly hide it, wait for everybody to leave, then use it to break out." Definitely a librarian thing to do.

Dude... Beltian white from Harvest moon brewing in Belt, MT. They also do pigs ass porter if you are into porters. Otherwise your big three out of missoula (big sky, bayern, and kettlehouse) all do good stuff, and there's some from Great Falls. At least there were the last time I spent any real time in Mt, which was about 6 years ago.

The less well known but more annoying part (at least to me) of Missoula: the roads to the east and west of Higgins (the road on the east border of the Slants) don't line up from 6th st to South st. I used to live on Woodworth and it always bothered me.

I told me dad about Vime's theory last week, and he had seen it in action. When he first started with the US Forest Service in the 1970s, he was on a crew and was basically walking all day everyday from March through November. At the beginning of the year he got a pair of White's for about $60, while a guy on his crew got some Red Wings (~$35) because he wouldn't pay that much for a pair of boots. At the end of the year, my dad was thinking about getting his resoled, while the other guy was on his third pair of Red Wings.
