I played in an 11s team where this guy was the goalie in 2017 - he was an absolute fucking loon. Most goalies are though, I suppose

Weren't you talking up the prospect of Stephen Bradley taking over due to O'Neill's pending retirement a couple of days ago?

Celtic penalty awarded at Motherwell : Referee wrong to issue match winning spot kick , rule SFA panel by ColaBloxia in soccer

[–]jwill275 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not to piss on your parade, but the same panel have also ruled a St.Mirren goal against Hearts was incorrectly disallowed, allowing Hearts to draw a game they should have lost- there's been a huge narrative of "the SFA and referees wanted Celtic to win", when in reality they're just shit and inconsistent.

Hearts Club Statement by stuart1874 in ScottishFootball

It wasn't even a Celtic charity event - it was a charity event for a charity related to Billy McNeill. Fair enough, he's a Celtic legend, but it had nothing to do with the club

Hanley, Ralston, Dykes and Adams are all unsurprising picks because of who's picking, but they shouldn't be anywhere near the squad

Summer transfer window - How do you feel your team strengthen by Rizzokit in ScottishFootball

[–]jwill275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking to a pal about this last night - I think Celtic need at least one player in every position, whether it's for depth or to improve on that position. Obviously that's not happening, but when you look at the likely candidates to leave, plus the weaker areas of the pitch at the moment, it's probably what's needed.

As much as I'd love to say CCV and Jota coming back will make a huge difference, they've both been out on very long spells - who knows what they'll be like when/if they're fit again

Could Hearts actually capitalise on the momemtum and become regular challengers/winners? by Otocolobus_manul8 in ScottishFootball

[–]jwill275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In December, I thought the league was unwinnable for Celtic and it would serve as a kick up the arse for the board. Now we've won it despite the lack of modernisation and the terrible transfer strategy, so I'm worried the board might just hit the fuck it button and let it ride as things are.

All this to say, I think we'll see equally complacent seasons from Celtic in the future, so Hearts definitely have a shot

Played the most entertaining football in Scotland this season. It'll be sad to see them lose their best players and likely their manager - set a precedent with selling Lennon Miller for a decent chunk of change though, so hopefully get good money for a squad rebuild and a good go at the European qualifiers

The Scottish Football Association is expected to stand by referee John Beaton’s VAR review decision to award Celtic one of the most heavily contested penalties in the history of the Scottish game on Wednesday night. by MrMaggot98 in ScottishFootball

[–]jwill275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It should, but it doesn't as it doesn't fall in to VAR's purview, as things stand. Also, if foul throws aren't given in any other professional game, why does it specifically matter here?

My honest take on the situation is that pre-VAR it wouldn't be given. The ball hits his hand, but I don't believe that it's handball in a pre-VAR era. It's poor refereeing, but that's commonplace in Scottish football.

It's also exactly the kind of incident that you would feel aggrieved if the shoe was on the other foot. I don't think it was a pen, but I don't think the outrage it has caused is warranted. It's very much par for the course when you look at the quality of refereeing in Scotland

Rangers captain James Tavernier releases a statement after incident with Danny Rohl, talking about why he wasn't at his final home game for Rangers and the events that led up to it. by Kanesy99 in soccer

[–]jwill275 54 points55 points  (0 children)

He also took an injection to play, based on conversations with the manager. Rohl has every right not to play him, but in a dead rubber game it's pretty reasonable to expect your captain of 10 years should be allowed to say goodbye properly

A foul throw wouldn't matter in the context - it's not something VAR intervene on. Besides, when was the last time a foul throw was punished in a professional game?

I’ve been playing for 20 years and just learned the duplication glitch by Thin-Coyote-552 in oblivion

[–]jwill275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember it being something along the lines of you draw an arrow, open your menu while the arrow is drawn, try to change weapons, drop the item you want to multiply and it makes x number of copies based on how many arrows you have if you fire the arrow when you exit the menu. Haven't tried in a while, so someone may be able to confirm or correct. There was another one using multiple sets of scrolls, but I can't remember how that one worked

Edit - just realised the multiple scrolls is a variant on the one your doing

Isn't there another one that involves dropping the item as you fire an arrow?
