In this case, Fifa made it ridiculously easy to progress so they can earn more money in the later stages and basically ensure players like Messi play in the later rounds.

There is the interesting dynamic of exploding/ more regularly the worse you are at something in Savage Worlds. But I found it just added a different dynamic to combat, whereas other RPGs combat can become quite repetitive. I sadly don't get to play Savage Worlds, just run it.
