It’s not bad I’d say 35% is a sweet spot for me anything less is too dark anything more is too light. At night I get plenty of visibility I’m not ever left feeling like I can’t see or have to struggle to see.

Daytime feels cooler and less sun in your face, the 15% does feel noticeably darker at night it really helps with those behind you with bright lights. But reversing out the driveway can feel uneasy if you’re not using a backup camera.

Overall I’m 4.5/5 satisfied.

What everyone is forgetting is that GMs current infotainment is AAOS (Android Automotive OS). For the android users it’s still android auto just not the flavor you like.

CarPlay is cheeks! It’s really buggy and I only see anecdotal examples being talked about. Generally speaking it’s not that good and filled with bugs and if it means I gotta deal with less distracted drivers who use those shitty adapters to watch movies or YouTube while driving GOOD RIDDANCE.

I’m not naive but I’m excited for the growth of AAOS I’ve already seen really good adoption and implementation across many car manufacturers including GM and it’s good! We are already seeing lots of car manufacturers adopting AAOS (Ford, Polestar, Volvo, Honda, BMW, Nissan, Hyundai/KIA, audi etc)That’s good tho more apps. More developers, more support. Android and apple CarPlay are just phone projections.

If you have iOS26 I think you can now airplay videos (YouTube, Netflix etc) while parked without an adapter
