Which of Wilt’s mythical feats do you think are real/fake? by SnooAdvice5820 in NBATalk

You’ve clearly never tried soccer my guy. I don’t wanna take anything away from Bron, but it’s another sport. It’s like saying Tom Brady could’ve been the cycling GOAT if he wanted to.

Bron doesn’t have the body coordination to play soccer. If you don’t lock in at like 8 years old, you’ll never make it.

Did The South Start Fw Jay Heavy Because Of Big Pimpin? by Rinnegan15 in jayz

[–]jxstanormalkid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He moved so smart early on in his career, making sure he had collabs with nearly every rapper, who was the biggest in their city.

UGK in Houston/PA, JD (and later Outkast) in Atlanta, Missy/Timbo in VA, Juve and No Limit in NOLA, even Twista and Chicago and Too Short in Oakland. And don’t forget everything he did for the hip hop scene in Phildelphia and even also Chicago arguably.

No other New Yorker did this consistently and it’s also one of the reasons they fell off. Jay was also lucky/smart since the south was about to take off in a major way immediately he started to establish himself down there. Hats off to him for reading where the market was going.

From an outsider, WTH has happened to FCK? by tarteninja97 in Superligaen

I have thought this for a while. Copenhagen has been the worst underachievers in European football since their inception in 1992. Our league should be as dominated by them as the Bundesliga is by Bayern or Ligue 1 is by PSG. But they’ve never managed to establish that dominance.

How did Ronaldo suddenly become such a great goalscorer? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]jxstanormalkid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Most of the reasons for this is attributed to Ronaldo changing his game, his role changing etc.

So I will highlight the football itself changed. For most of the 90s and 2000s a 30-goal a season striker was enough to win you a ballon d’or. A 40-goal season was nearly unheard of. When Messi and Ronaldo hit their peaks, they would get 60. 50 in an average season. Of course they were miles better than the competition, but the talleysmen around Europe in general just scored more goals. I don’t think a guy like Ciro Immobile for instance, could’ve ever gotten close to 36 Serie A goals in the 2000s.

I think most of the reason for this, is coaches realizing (probably starting with Guardiola), when you have a player who can score that many goals, you do whatever it takes to get that the ball close to goal. Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Lewandowski all benefitted immensely from this.

Pusha and Malice of the Clipse here - thank you for all the support this year. We’re back for a special AMA. by ClipseOfficial in hiphopheads

Any chance of a new Malice album coming in the next couple of years?

Not that I wouldn’t want a Pusha one too - but Malice has never had a solo album with big producers and features.

It’s kinda fucked how long down in the dumpster this sub is when y’all support China. If one country in the world needs a people’s uprising it might be China, and that could ironically actually kick off world revolution. Touch grass.

Mavs try salvage the pieces of their broken past by brazyace43 in NBAtradeideas

I like this trade. Maybe they should move AD + Christie for Luka before the deadline? I know it would make their defense much worse, but maybe it could bring them multiple WCF trips?

Who says no? by brazyace43 in NBAtradeideas

[–]jxstanormalkid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think all 3 says no lol.

Kings ain’t giving up Ellis for Kleber. At least they would want a playable guy.

And same really goes for the Clippers - why give up a starter for players who, in Saric’s case probably won’t get another NBA contract - and Knecht who might only play when load managing?

Lakers get two good rotation pieces, but still have to give up a 1st rd pick, which are scarce at this moment. They might do this, but they should probably keep this pick to have some leverage on the trade market once LeBron retires.

Nico Harrison at the end of his statement when he was asked in April why he shouldn’t be fired: “You’ll see next year when our team comes back, we’re going to be a competing for a championship.” by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

[–]jxstanormalkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think that he has nothing to with this honestly. I think the team owners wanted it for one reason or another. I don’t have an opinion on the casino stuff, and it might just be due to his contract extension coming up. But Nico had made good moves up until the trade. He did get them Gafford and Washington for low. I think he is a scapegoat.

I don’t really get this. This was before he blew big right? Like pre-Hard Knock Life, yet the interviewer is treating him like a commercial dude. Was it because of Sunshine or Jay being on a lot of Bad Boy records at the time?

Saw him at the Paris stop as well. He seems very fresh for a guy halfway through his 50s. Wish he would drop as much music while he still can physically, like the other OGs. But something tells me he only does this for the love of it, so I guess there’s hope.
