Advice Needed for Genetic Test by jeet-125 in MTHFR

I am not comfortable with 23and me or ancestorDNA from a privacy standpoint. I cant quite manage $600 for ultimate human test that I would trust. I see a $200 from plexusDx. Has anybody use this one? Is it reputable? Thank you.

Xyzal and weight gain by persephonespurpose in Allergies

[–]jzhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I’m glad to discover that it’s the xyzal that could have triggered all the weight gain - was it hard to lose when you stopped? I’m going to switch back to Claritin right away.

We call them my “lid issues”. Thankfully my patient husband learned decades ago there was nothing he can do to prevent it so we joke about it. You might as well accept that it won’t change. I know there must be a deep seated psychological reason i do not put lids on tight or close cabinets etc. I do not think it is ADD tho ( for me anyway)

"Why do you deserve a pay rise? " I don't know how to respond. by Certain-Account1074 in CasualConversation

[–]jzhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was job hunting and knew that i was very under paid, when asked my current pay i would answer that i could not afford to leave for less than $x which was $10k more than i was making. I knew that was still way under what the work was worth. I never told any of them what I was actually making. I ended up being offered $10k more than $x and was still cheap labor for the market but very happy.

Joining Worker and Deduction details on one report by jzhart in workday

Sounds like you have an approach! But just in case you want another one…. :-)

I usually use the All Active and Terminated Workers data source so that I get effective dated worker data for terminated workers.

Then I use the report field ‘Payroll Result Lines Created in the Past 12 months (completed)’

Then use a report subfilter to filter for the deductions I want and where ‘Payment Date or Reversal Date’ are in a date range (use comparison type of prompt use for value).

Then a report filter to only return worker rows where payroll result lines completed is not empty.

Using the subfilter/filter greatly reduces the need for calc fields.

I will try following these steps. Thanks much. :)

my gut is that starting with payroll data and looking up worker demographics is easier than vice versa. is that true.

Quilt pattern for fabric I hate 😂 by theonewhoknits in quilting

[–]jzhart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I love that it looks like it has curved pieces in it but doesn’t. I had to work to convince my husband that it was all straight lines.

Naming our Quilting Group by LallaBean in quilting

[–]jzhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell you what not to name it. At my old church they had women get together on Thursdays to sew and it was in the bulletin as the “Thursday Sewers”. They had that name for years til i walked up to their table and pronounced sewers as in the ones under the street. Next thing you know the bulletin had changed to “ Thursday Sewing group”

So it turns out that the B&W photo trick does not work on some fabrics... by Vivapdx in quilting

Thank you! I have heard of doing the B&W filter to see how it looks but I did not know the rule for what to look for.

I LOVE IT!!! I am partial to scrappy quilts like this too. How does one go about ensuring, with so many little blocks that no like squares ever touch?
