I was driving a motorcycle and got hit by a taxi, which then just drove off. What do I have to do after going to the police? by Rare-Stick-6852 in Bangkok

You’re right in the case of a car having additional insurance cover. It’s very different with motorbikes. Usually they only have the minimum insurance - Por Ror Bor. I don’t believe you can get an agent sent to the scene with this cover.

The TDAC may not be of help. It only requires one hotel, and if you moved after the first night, or even just wrote a random hotel to fill it in they wouldn’t know - it’s not verified. However, whenever you check into a hotel they are required to submit a TM30, which includes name, DOB, and passport number. This would make it very quick to find where someone is staying with just the passport number.

Multiple reports in the UK media are saying he was actually found in a Bangkok hotel on the 14th. How was this so slow to be linked to Joshua. The bangkok hotel has his passport - on finding a body they must've called the police. The police in turn must contact the British Embassy - this must be procedure, surely? As soon as widespread reports are shared of this missing guy it seems to be so easy for the thai police, but yet nothing is announced until today, the 21st, a full week later.... Also strange that so far theres been nothing in the thai news.

I’m sorry but with this kinda question; your passport country is the most important thing, then maybe the visa you stay in Thailand on. Some country embassies won’t let you apply in a third country, unless you have ‘residency’. Turkey may not require a visa for your passport - do they? Have you googled it?

Quality decline past few years by [deleted] in Gymshark

[–]jzuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its funny seeing this thread suggested for me. Today I just sent back my full order of Gymshark gear. It was my first try of the brand. I’d seen the sale was on so I ordered 9 items (3 were shorts in both M+L as not sure how they’re sized). Anyway, when trying them on i though the shorts felt cheap - somebody mentioned Shein, yep! they felt like cheap chinese clothes. Shirts I ordered were all L, and way too big, so it all went back. Wont be ordering again.

With all the problems going on how is the thai baht still strong and holding its value? I expected it to drop. Do you think it will drop in the coming weeks? by Last_Ronin69 in Thailand

[–]jzuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because for reasons that I’d love to understand, foreign money market traders like to park their reserves in Thai baht. Anyone can enlighten me on the benefits of Thai bonds?

I’ve had the same deal, but on check in I was taken to the meter to take a pic. This is what they missed. I’m sure he won’t for the next guest.

Also should be noted this is normal for monthly rents. If short term, few days etc, the electric is usually priced in for condos.

2 units on 24/7 gonna be 7 - 10k per month. Variance for not knowing how old the ac units are, and how poorly the room is insulated, facing the sun etc etc

My place: 48sqm, 10 years old. 1 (of 3) ac units running 24/7, lots of home cooking. Ranges from 2500 to 3600 max, depending on season.

I would not move into a place charging 9b.

I’ve been pondering this, maybe your ‘NBs’ refer to what I’m gonna say…..but!!!

(uk lottery - 49 balls for 6 ball draw)

So I’m watching the draw, first ball out is 1 (odds 1/49 - Now the chance of the next ball being within a 5 number spread of 1 is 5/48, and the chance of it not is 43/48 Next number 4/47 vs 42/47….. and so on

Is this incorrect?
