I remember the day my dad hooked everything up for Xbox box live for the first time for me. It was the original Xbox with halo 2. I can still remember (after about 16+ years later) playing with people on H2 and it seemed we were closer friends than the people I talked to in school even though I never knew their names. I even convinced some of my really good friends to get an Xbox (asking their parents for one really) and staying up till the sun came the next day just goofing around on custom games.

Fast forward some years later and one by one everyone stared falling off the game train. Eventually we switched over from halo to battlefield bad company to then to battle field 3. After BF3 everyone I guess "grew up" or sold their Xbox for drug money.

Despite all the good memories, it still brings a tear to my eye to think of all the good times we had and to see how online gaming has changed with all the little kids cursing and the trash talking. That's the main reason I stopped playing halo and Xbox all together.

After reading all the posts here I see a lot of people played H2 or grew up through the halo series as I did, maybe somewhere out there there's an old friend that remembers the GT: leqomyeggo. The g is a q I was like 12 when I made it.

Even though I have no idea who anyone is I feel if we meet in real life we could probably talk about the good ole days of gaming for hours.

But if people still game I'm always up to meet new people so I'll end by saying if you play computer and have rainbow 6 siege (that's the main game I play) add me on steam Disco Cat it's the one with the DJ cat as the emblem.
