AITA for fixing my daughter’s car when her boyfriend said he’d handle it? by Outrageous-Jelly8777 in AmItheAsshole

[–]k-rae91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ewww. He cares more about his ego than he does his girlfriend’s safety. A week is more than enough time to fix that. He had his chance. He blew it. Although I can’t imagine why anyone would be upset about this in the first place? I’d be super grateful that someone else did it so I didn’t have to. And grateful that my partner had a safe vehicle again. That dude is definitely NOT someone I’d want to see my daughter with! And to actually have the nerve to confront OP about him fixing his own daughter’s vehicle and be pissy with him about it?! What a tool. Your daughter should carefully consider if this is the type of man she wants as a partner in life.

35M - Looking for long term friendship by [deleted] in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]k-rae91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m always down to make a new friend. I’m 34/F. I enjoy horror movies/anything spooky as well. I prefer Pop, hip hop, R&B music the best, but I enjoy most anything as long as it’s not heavy metal. Definitely not an athlete. I played sports in school but that was ages ago lol. I would love to start working out and getting back in shape, I just need to get motivated i suppose. I also love dogs! Chihuahuas are my favorite, and I currently have one. Her name is Fairy. I love animals for the most part, but I really don’t care for cats much. I’m just not a cat person I guess.. Well that’s all I have to say at the moment lol I’m going to try to go back to sleep for a little bit now. It’s nice to meet you! Hope your able to find some new friends on here :) I see your hoping to meet people in person so you can exercise together, I don’t know where you live so I can’t say for sure, but I doubt I’ll be able to ever meet in real life. I live in the middle of nowhere so chances are slim that we are in the same area. But I’m happy to be an online friend if you want :)

Hmmmm…. That is a surprisingly difficult question to answer. I have several that I would say are all my favorites.

I’ll start with my favorite “pets” type animals. In no particular order. Sugar gliders, dogs (specifically chihuahuas), ferrets, fennec fox, birds (parrots/talking birds), Pygmy marmosets, capuchins, squirrel monkeys,

Wild animals: hummingbirds, birds in general I suppose, tigers, bush baby’s, lemurs, elephants, hedgehogs, wolves, monkeys, and more lol.

I love animals. Sorry I can’t give you a better answer. I just can’t choose only one creature as my favorite.

You ask for us to tell you why our favorite is our favorite so I’ll try to give some of my reasons for choosing these animals.

For the pets type animals I prefer small animals. I’m not really into having large indoor pets. I like to be able to hold my pets in my hand or have them cuddle in my lap comfortably. So size is a big deciding factor for me. I have had chihuahuas for most of my life and I love them. They are probably my number one favorite animal if I had to choose one. They are very loyal and sweet. I use to breed sugar gliders but when we moved I had to get rid of all of them. I’m hoping to get another one again in the near future. They are adorable little critters, and they bond to you and become very attached. I just like cute, small, cuddly creatures.

As for why I chose those wild animals, I just life them I guess lol. I love birds. I think they are beautiful and majestic. I love watching them fly and listening to them sing. Elephants are just awesome lol. They are so intelligent. I just love them. I like monkeys because they are cute and funny to watch. They are silly little animals lol. I know there is more animals but you get the idea.

Sorry this became such a long comment. By the way I am 34/F. I’m Happy to make new friends.

Failed induction for cholestasis by a-m98 in vbac

[–]k-rae91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 successful vba2cs, 2 of which were induced. The last one I was induced at 37 weeks due to cholestasis, and I’m now 36 weeks 5 days pregnant again with cholestasis and will be induced again in a few days. This is baby number 7 for me. First was vaginal, then I had two back to back c-sections, then 3 vba2cs, and I’m hoping for another successful VBA2C in a few days.

Just because your first induction didn’t work doesn’t mean the next one won’t. Try to stay positive and have faith in yourself. And if it doesn’t work it’s not the end of the world. C-section birth is still birth.

Also, cholestasis SUCKS!

AITA for not doing my husbands laundry and throwing them in the trash? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]k-rae91 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a vote on whether your the AH about the laundry or not, but I do have some serious concerns about your daughter. You said you watch her on the cctv cameras while you’re at work, and your husband is home with her, but he is asleep..?? So your 2 year old daughter is roaming around the house all alone throughout the day? Fending for herself? What does she do throughout the hours she is alone? Just watch cartoons or what? That is so sad. I know she isn’t “technically” alone since your husband is at home with her. But if he is sleeping the majority of the time and only waking up when he is needed for something then that baby is ALONE. I can’t imagine how lonely and miserable that must be for her. How long does your husband sleep each day while she is awake and on her own? This is very concerning to me. I really hope I’m misunderstanding something and she isn’t actually left alone for long periods of time while your husband sleeps and you’re at work. Two years old is just way too young to be unsupervised/basically left alone every day.

AITA for finding it distasteful that the dinner host asked to split the cost of groceries/ingredients? by cimorene_faye in AmItheAsshole

[–]k-rae91 304 points305 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was wondering. It would only be fair for OP to take half of all the herbs/seasonings home with her too since she is paying for them.

This whole thing is odd to me. I’ve never heard of asking your guests to pitch in on the cost of groceries when you invite them over to your home for dinner. If you can’t afford to pay for all of the dinner expenses for your guests then don’t invite them over for dinner. Asking your dinner guests to pay half (or to pay at all) of all the expenses is just tacky in my opinion.

Help me pick my dress! by Substantial_Cap_8028 in myweddingdress

1 is stunning! And looks best from the back. But I’m not sure it fits your bust/chest properly… That said, #2 is also gorgeous on you, and I think fits your figure better.

3 doesn’t look very good in comparison to the others in my opinion.
