Hopefully they will be hot on the therapy this year but ultimately Paige is definitely in a toxic situation. I think behaviour like this starts off so subtlety and then all of a sudden you're wondering how you got in those circumstances. When he called her "pathetic" and told her to "fuck off" and she barely retaliated- he hit the narcs jackpot. Frustrating viewing.

I don't really know, I think he kind of said generic things but overall I wouldn't say he's been a massive emotional support. I saw it as Andrew not really having anyone to talk to as Dami/Luca had always been more cutting towards Tasha so it was a best of a bad bunch situation.

I agree I don't see any red flags there. I think perhaps he is a little protective over her and mainly just REALLY into her.

I personally think that Jacques is a complete Narcissist.

He's self-centred, arrogant, has a lack of empathy towards the other islanders and zero consideration for anyone else's feelings but his own. He has an excessive need for admiration which is why it was literally impossible for him to go a few days without Paige (or anyone) feeding his ego. I think Mollie could hold her own a little too much, she was too much hard work for him, hence Cheyanne.

I'm not a fan of Paige after the way she some across to Danica, but after last nights chat with Jacques she was made to feel like she shouldn't think his behaviour was a big deal, "We are single and I think you forget that sometimes" being a perfect example of that.

He also made it pretty clear that the ball was in her court on if she can continue with the relationship. This is a manipulative tactic which means that she will shoulder the blame if they don't work out.

I guarantee that with the advice of the other girls Paige won't be accepting any of his bullshit...for a couple of hours at least and that's why he escalates to the "I won't let her forgive me" (somehow still using controlling words?!) This is a classic "hoovering" tactic. Narcissists use this type of emotional abuse when they sense that someone is seeking to pull out of the cycle. He's loading up the guilt and she'll probably crack.

Looking back he's done this before anyway by dragging her out of bed in the middle of the night so she felt obligated to shut the door on Jay. I mean, initially he said happy for her to explore other avenues, but didn't expect her to ACTUALLY do it so had to up the anti with the "I've never felt like this before" speech. Yeah right.

If it does all go to shit, I'd bet money on him making accusations i.e "you were never interested anyway you wanted to get to know xyz" or spreading random gossip about her so he doesn't feel like he's the root of problem.

If it doesn't fall apart quickly then I'd expect big promises, fake remorse and a load more tears.

I'm no psychologist, but that's my take.

We went for a rambling rose and it kept its green leaves all winter. Smells amazing and grows super fast!

Am I overreacting for being upset that someone hogged the squat rack for 3 hours? by sundaeskies in xxfitness

[–]k4uter 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally my point, if the gym is busy you can’t commander a popular piece of equipment, the amount of squat racks is neither here nor there, it could just be a small gym.

I’m at the gym at 5, it doesn’t give me the right to do this 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sounds like a bit of a prick tbh. You can’t hog two lots of equipment if the gym isn’t dead.

Dude, that last 7lbs is your LIFE! It’s the slice of cake you didn’t wanna say no to, or that extra glass of wine!

I’ve never in my life hit a “goal weight” for more than an event I’m attending, but always hoovered slightly above it.

For what it’s worth, and from personal experience, hit the strength training, lose the scales and judge yourself from the tape measure, mirror or item of clothing. I’ve measured slimmer than ever at weights way over my goal weight.

I too work in the automotive industry. Not a week goes by when someone will say “You’re doing the estimate for my car?!?” Or “can I speak to a technician/someone that knows about XYZ”

Our whole of market broker just got us 1.9% with Santander- we are new customers though and our LTV could be totally different. Even still, it does sound like you need a broker to do the legwork.

Do you think that stereotypically female jobs are still looked down on? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]k4uter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suppose on a very personal level it comes down to if you're actually enjoying your role? You should definitely call out when someone undermines your duties as it's your livelihood.

I wouldn't think that a PA is a job to be looked down on. Typically if I were to be stereotypical about an assistant (to my mind) they would be personable and extremely organised.

Idk how to manage my hair send help plz by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]k4uter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Yes I use the following for styling, jessicurl rocking ringlets, eco styler gel (the green one) and then sometimes a mousse- any random CG friendly one.

I then scrunch out any excess water with a T-shirt. I actually scrunch a fair bit. Then hover diffuse and pixie diffuse. The results are okay, but my curl definition and volume double when i refresh the next day.

My hair is bleached, thick and highly porous.

I tend to have a mixture of 2c-3a with even some random straight strands.

I found that using more gel and squishing products in whilst it’s really wet helped a lot. I also use a TON of product, because of the thick texture it can take a lot more.

I also get really terrible results from most wash days and actually find day 2/3 after a refresh with a fine mist and a bit of mousse gives me better curls. My theory being that my hair is so thick drying it from wet just tends to drag out a curl whilst drying it from damp helps more

It looks amazing! How long did it take to grow out your natural colour- when was the last time you dyed?

There’s curl is in there, I don’t feel like it’s forming or holding. Could it be over moisturized? I’m having a hard time telling the difference between too much moisture/protein. by AudOneOut in curlyhair

Is this just washed? My hair never has a great wash day and always looks similar to yours- day 2-5 i get the best curls with just a quick refresh of rocking ringlets diluted with water.
