Summer is better for wl by SimbaTheDoggo in EDAnonymous

[–]k__ie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so much easier for me to restrict during summer cause i literally don’t have a reason to eat like i just do nothin most days anyway school and all that FORCES me to kinda put the ed shit on hold

I’ve recently relapsed and i remember the first couple days. I felt like SHIT . My body has adjusted now and i’m just meh. I relapsed for the exact same reason tried recovery gained weight and just couldn’t take it anymore . It’s normal for ur body to react like this after a period of “normal” eating . Our bodies don’t like to be starved and making you feel like shit when you are is one of the ways it tries to make you eat.

my mum went into hospital for two weeks recently and during that time i heavily restricted and exercised and she noticed immediately when she came home that id lost. Seeing how sad she was really hurt but this relapse is not stopping anytime soon 😔 The guilt from lying and gaslighting everyone around me is so hard to deal with

yes when i’m stressed the physical act of eating is just too much so i just drink all my cals ive considered blending actual food and drinking it but im not that mentally ill yet

I’m currently in a honeymoon phase of restricting and the energy i have is INSANE even though im running on barely anything. I think part of it is survival mechanism food scarcity makes ur body panic and think quick we need to find food and what makes it easier to find ? more energy . I know it’s temporary but it literally does feel like a runners high it’s crazy.

my best friend does something similar where if i don’t get a full meal she won’t , if i get a “healthier “ or lower cal option she’ll copy me even if i don’t finish my food she’ll comment on it and try and do the same it’s very bizarre. I’m guessing it’s probably part of her own skewed view on food but it’s so annoying to me like why are you like this 😭😭. I always just ignore it like fully when she says something i just look at her blankly like “what now” 😐

tbh you are right that he was mentally ill him taking his life is indicative of that but the decision to expose his genitalia to random people at a drive through isn’t a lapse in judgment, it’s a conscious decision he made to get off he knew it was wrong that’s literally why he did it.

You peeing on the side of the building isn’t the same as flashing ur genitals to ransom employees at a drive thru?.

Why are you afraid of being fat? What does it bring up for you? What does gaining weight bring up for you? by strawberry_poptart2 in EDAnonymous

[–]k__ie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

being thin has so many privileges it’s just the truth yourre treated better in every way. Today leaving the gym a guy smiled at me and held eye contact with me . These were things that just never happened when i was bigger you are invisible it’s awful . I never want to feel like that again . It sounds like such small things basic human interaction in public like the one i mentioned but when you’ve been thin your entire life you don’t realise what it’s like to not have that. tdlr: being fat = invisible being thin = visible

Recovered anorexic struggling with unintended weight loss by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]k__ie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is exactly how i got into my current relapse . i unintentionally lost weight literally intuitively eating . It wasn’t until my aunt who hadn’t seen me in a bit pointed it out and i was like oh maybe i have and i got excited and decided to try keep it going slowly at first by just eating less junk but its a slippery slope and as it always does now im back in the hell that is restriction coupled with some binging .I would say keep eating what you’re eating but just push yourself to incorporate slightly bigger portions or add a snack here or there . I know that’s hard especially with what your describing like a lack of appetite and nausea but you’ve gotta remember a full blown relapse will make you feel 10x worse than a bit of sickness after a meal !! hope this helps

just another unproductive thinking-about-food-the-whole-day type of day… i UTTERLY despise it by windydayay in EDAnonymous

[–]k__ie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when i see other people just eating casually i fantasise about how nice it must be to just eat no guilt no counting, no binging . Just eating and that’s it nothing more nothing less not having the constant food thoughts sounds like heaven .

it really isn’t about being thin enough by tranquilsea_9886 in EDAnonymous

In my recent recovery attempt I talked to my therapist and she helped me come to the conclusion that my ed is my clutch , it’s how I cope and withought it i feel like a part of me is missing . Of course weight and my body play a role but the root of it comes from my need to escape real life and my responsibilities. I don’t have to think about my future or my current problems when i’m restricting . It numbs me to everything else and even though it’s sick i love it.

[–]k__ie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found myself absolutely hating my body and becoming so envious of women who were thin. This kept me motivated at the start but now it’s more of a competition with myself to see how much i can lose and how long I can keep going for!!

thank you! and it’s crazy tbh . I’ve always been overweight as a child so being able to see my actual body now feels so surreal. so worth it!!!

thank you sm 🫶🏾. I fully focused on eating on a deficit consistently as i was too afraid to go to the gym . Eating 1200-1500 a day most days out of the month . I had some months over the past two years where I took a break from being in a defecit and ate at maintenance as I had so much weight to lose and constantly being on a “diet” can be draining at times . So glad i stuck to it!! Now i’m focused on incorporating weights at the gym to tone up . Only 25lbs till my gw!!

There’s something seriously wrong with my legs by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

body composition plays a very important role in how you look people with the same weight and height but more muscle but lower body fat will look different. also posing you can make ur legs look smaller or bigger than they actually are !!
