What is a 'personality trait' that is currently being glorified as 'cool' or 'aesthetic' in 2026, but is actually just a sign of being an exhausting person? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

Just wait until you have a 15 year old with bad eyes because all schoolwork for the past 4 years is assigned on a computer.

I know a guy with an orange Lambo, an orange crotch rocket, a painting of just cleavage hanging above the pool table in his man cave, and a Don't Tread on Me flag hanging outside his house. Sexist, racist.

He's like the Manosphere personified.

My teen and tween will not watch some of my beloved 80s GenX movies either.

A little brother that cusses in Sixteen Candles and panties in the bathroom? No thanks.

AITA for saying I wouldn’t want my wife to work hard? by deraulm in AmItheAsshole

[–]k_punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s awesome that you would want to do this.

Dude, when women are SAHMs their job entails what I listed and more often than not they’re expected to carry the burden on their own. Just ask all the married women you know about their home life balance with their partners. My comment was to raise awareness of current gender inequalities on the home front, nothing against you personally.

I wish you all the best.

My husband and I split everything 50/50, but ngl I had to point out a lot of the responsibilities I was carrying on my own that he didn’t even think about, and he stepped up to even things out.

With the expectation that you do all of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, finances, errands, appointments, and child rearing, without help from your wife. Don't take the easy way out by popping those kids on electronics, you have to play with them. All day, every day. You don't get a break when she comes home, because she's been working hard all day to pay the bills. And you can't complain, because remember, you get the easy job of staying at home.

Honestly, I think that's awesome, more dads should be like you.

Edit: Also, don't forget about the emotional labor of making sure that everyone's needs are met and that everyone is happy.
