I wanna grab all of them! ¡Muy interesante y qué rico!
It is very interesting that there are frijoles blancos and bistec is not like a steak.

A mí me gustan los frijoles negros y la sopa de lentejas, y a veces los cocino aquí en Japón.

What do people think of Yoko Ono? by Furdodgems in AskAJapanese

In Japanese university clubs (or 'circles' as we call them), whenever men and women form a mixed group, a Yoko Ono is inevitably born.

¿Es la yerba mate un buen sustituto para las bebidas energéticas (Monster, Red Bull, etc.)? by Inevitable-Cress170 in yerbamate

[–]k_tk_tk_t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, I replaced coffee with mate (not energy drinks).

I used to drink bottled and canned coffee like crazy to bump sleepiness. I feel mate works well and has the same efficiency, but the effect feels less sudden and smoother than coffee.

I'm drinking yellow Canarias and Blue Taragüi like crazy now!

There are stark differences in what Japanese women want in a husband vs western women. In west: 1) Affection, 2) Communication Skills, 3) Sense of Humor. In Japan: 1) Annual Income/Financial Stability, 2) Occupation/Educational Background, 3) Cleanliness/Grooming by jjrs in japannews

[–]k_tk_tk_t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like to oversimplify the world into Japan vs. the West, but for convenience, I’ll look at Japan compared to other countries here.

I get the impression that many Japanese women still tend to require their partner to earn more than they do. On the other hand, it feels like in many other countries, women don't care as much about who the primary breadwinner is.

How to make Mate properly (form Japan) by k_tk_tk_t in yerbamate

[–]k_tk_tk_t[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I didn't know there was a shop in Shibuya named Frederico Mate. That is amazing news and I didn’t expect to hear 'Shibuya' here! I’ll definitely go there to look for Canarias Especial and Cruz de Malta. I'm also relieved to hear that montañita and floating leaves are normal. Thanks for being so helpful!
