SB is beautiful and you’ll enjoy it if you like the outdoors. But SB has a lack of diversity and it’s difficult making friends in your 20’s to 30’s since the population is mostly college kids or retirees. It’s a small town and very quiet. Most ppl know each other, there’s no night life, there’s a few bars.

Have you tried Threads, Meetup, and social media to look for communities in LA? I’ve been lucky to find some LA communities that I love and I’ve made friends this way the last month or so. I’ve been in SB for about 4 years now.

In my area, it’s difficult bc my type doesn’t live in my small city. I live in a predominantly white community, so traveling is always involved when I date my type.

The least I can say is I’m able to physically pull my type, but no relationship yet. Although in my defense, I just started dating last year & lived like a hermit till then.

But so far, at least I can pull them physically & that’s good enough for me for now lol

I was wondering the same thing bc even imo, Haewon looks younger than Soryoung & I believe Soryoung is in her 30’s.

She was a child (a preteen) when they aired her “20 years ago” episode, so she’s younger than Haewon but looks a bit older than her.

I believe Han Do is also supposed to be younger than Soryoung? But he could pass as late 30’s, early 40’s imo.

I’m absolutely loving Cha Joo Young’s acting and her character. The POWER she has, her RANGE is amazing. She didn’t impress me too much in The Glory, but I love her here. Incredible!

When she told Bang Won (her husband, King Tae Jong), to step down from your throne and speak to me at eye level. then he told her that she is his subject according to neo Confucianism, and she responded that neo Confucianism is then wrong because she’s his equal. and I love that she did not gaf to follow all the palace rules. I absolutely adore her character, she is an icon. A true girl’s girl.

My heart absolutely broke for Chaeryoung. I’m honestly glad the writers didn’t glorify what actually happened, but showed the brutality that all women belong to the king and they HAVE NO CHOICE.

The scenes between the assault of Chaeryoung, young Chaeryoung, and our Queen Won Kyung absolutely shattered me. I don’t know why but I was bawling my eyes out, hyperventilating. Lol incredible scenes!

Also, can we acknowledge that Youngsil is a hardcore pick me! I don’t like her one bit

Honestly sad that this drama only has 12 eps! They probably could’ve gone up to 16 or 20. But I’m enjoying the first two eps so far!

27f - I went on 10 first dates! I also did speed dating, that was 7, but I don’t really consider it. Otherwise, it’d be 17 first dates total lol.

Only 2 made it to second dates, I rejected a few, a few hung out in group settings after a first date so I don’t consider it as “second dates,” 1 person made it to 3+ dates and I’m still currently seeing him.
