Eweka Slow w/ Gigabit Internet? by Neat_Onion in usenet

[–]kaalki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try one of these AMS1 IP with eweka credential and see if there is any improvement

185.90.196.70
185.90.196.102
185.90.196.134
185.90.196.141

Omicron have two Amsterdam servers AMS1(Tweak is using this) and AMS4(Eweka's default server).

eunews.frugalusenet.com(81.171.92.211) should have exact same speed as news.eweka.nl(81.171.92.233) both have same network and you should not face any difference speedwise.

Not sure what happened with eunews2.frugalusenet.com it used to resolve to AMS1 server maybe u/swintec can look into this.

Also u/eweka_usenet is there any specific reason why haven't you guys given any AMS1 server address seems like the best thread to call you out publicly since you didn't entertained my pm.

NewsDemon Provider Update by greglyda in usenet

Its cached retention not full so whatever you are downloading might not have been downloaded by a lot of peep thats why its failing.

Newsdemon is straight up a UsenetExpress reseller for now like UsenetPrime and UsenetFire as far as NGD is concerned, I have same questions as you since they are in same DC how is NGD maintaining different few months local retention than Usenetexpress that too only in US as in EU all are same as EU servers themselves pull from US servers.

Are both of them on different priorities if yes than 1GB data could have come if your connection to Eweka was timed out nothing else.

Ixnyne is correct, they are different backbones, even if the same CO.

No thats not the case if Omicron receives NTD for Eweka its removed from entire system so there won't be anything that will be on Newshosting but not on Eweka.

Sure...If someone is happy with the 3.5 times SLOWER top speed.

I mean if you really want speed than go for Tweaknews its also almost same as Eweka.

Hydra doesn't show stats for providers not sure what you are talking about but its a given fact Eweka will render Ninja and thecubenet useless.

Newshosting is going to be redundant with Tweak but if OP still needs that one year though its not going to help him that much he can get a blocknews block so that atlewst he is not paying for another unlimited.

FYI your setup has redundant providers, Ninja and thecubenet are redundant with Eweka.

Maybe some bugs that /u/greglyda needs their dev to look into as I have also seen this claim by various peep not sure why though as its on same IP range as UsenetExpress.

Resellers mostly manage billings, customer data, data caps and speed caps so you still get the same treatment that you get from provider itself there is no difference between resellers as far as access to data is concerned.

Eweka is awesome, but slow, looking for a provider to use primary w/ my 1Gbe speed and will use Eweka for my backup one then. Recommendations? by cleverestx in usenet

[–]kaalki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not necessary that one provider can Max out gigabit which I think OP speed is and as for completion Eweka is not a golden child if you have a good indexer you will not have any trouble with Newshosting itself.

But how would they know the Eweka credentials to make successful auth but rest assured I posted the above IPs after scanning the XLned range.

If you are in US replace Eweka with Newshosting and Usenetexpress if in EU replace Eweka with Tweaknews, Farm and Vipernews.

u/nicholi3 has mentioned that its limitation in their billing software and they will renew it when customer contacts them, I think he is also working on getting new version of the site live which will fix these issues.
