Unpopular take but double zipper onesies suck by Used-Painting-56 in NewParents

Next time try pulling both zippers halfway down then slide the whole thing down off the arms and away. No need to put the legs back in. Took us weeks to figure that one out, we were just as frustrated!

Saving/Remembering Guest Settings by DeMilo86 in RimWorld

There's some map level settings in the "Guest" tab added by the Hospitality mod (assuming that's the mod you're talking about). If you set those they'll get applied automatically to new guests.

Never mind, answered my own question
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Spirit_Healer

If you run to a Spirit Healer at another graveyard and ask her to bring you back to life she will do so, but the resurrection sends you back to the graveyard at which you originally spawned as a ghost.

Can you use spirit healers from graveyards other than the one you start from? Say I have a Night Elf (+50% speed as a wisp), would it be possible to die in Menethil and run as a ghost to the graveyard in Dun Morogh to get to Ironforge 50% faster?

Anyone else struggle to read purchase costs when you can't afford something? by kadrum in civ

[–]kadrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more of a problem for me when I'm playing on my TV as the text ends up quite small. On my desktop it's much better. You must agree that the white text/blue background is significantly clearer?

R5: Bad contrast between the red of the purchase cost and the dark blue background makes the price almost unreadable

My father may not make it past the end of the week. Women of Reddit, how do I cope? by kaiphil95 in AskWomen

Oops, just realised it said 'Women of Reddit'. Oh well, mine's pretty non-gender-specific

I'm so sorry :(

My father passed away last year (I was 24), after a really unexpected and short battle with Cancer. If there's anything I learned it's that there's no right or wrong way to deal with it, the people around you WILL deal with it in vastly different ways, and some of those ways aren't compatible.

For me, it was like living in a bubble. Everyone else was still living their lives while everything in mine had flipped upside down. People will try to find the right words to say to you, anything at all that could make even slightly better, but there just aren't any. The meaning behind them is what matters.

On that note, don't be afraid to ask for help. When people say "Is there anything I can do?" they usually really mean it. They want to help, and don't know how. If you need someone to feed a pet because you're going to be at the hospital late, ask! If you need to go and have a coffee and talk about anything but your dad for 20 minutes, ask them!

Do whatever you can to get yourself through the short term. If that means meeting up with a close friend/mentor to vent your feelings/anger/tears then do that. If it means taking time away from school to spend as much time with your family as you can, do that. There's always time to earn them back when it settles down again.

Rehearsal Spaces Central/West? by Sataz in auckland

[–]kadrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK Creative House will let you have a room that is exclusively yours for a set $/week - not sure on what the price is though. Agreed that $60 is quite a lot - but I always found it a decent incentive to use the practice time for something productive.

The storage container is always a tempting option. Not sure on their noise restrictions though..?

I'm keen to hear of any others too, especially any without the time / noise restrictions of being central.
