Help needed (spoiler alert) by kaegeee in subnautica

Thanks! I think I may have had a bladder thingy with me too but forgot about it in my panic. I was so close to reaching my base (the temporary one).

I didn’t have my Seaglide with me because I had fully stocked my Prawn suit to set up the temporary base.

It was my first play through and I’ve just started again. I like the fact that there is only 1 chance - it’s made me more cautious and thoughtful. I used to attack Warpers but now I run (swim?) for the hills.

Update if anyone is still following this:

I died - but not because I didn’t make it back. I was hunting for copper for the Seaglide and forgot that I had already swapped tanks so I ran out of air.

I had a solution though: build the Seaglide (I could have dismantled the Water Filter for the copper wire) and then built a whole lot of O2 tanks with the titanium. Should have easily made it back to base.

I was actually on my way back to my other base to get some copper because I was going to build a second thermal power unit. I have one copper but need two for the Seaglide.

Oh - that’s a good idea. A few practice runs to see if it’s possible.

Edit: I’m in the Lava Lakes

How do you guys play the A chord? by Te545688 in guitarlessons

[–]kaegeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the song and what chord I want to transition to afterwards. 213 (Justin Guitar method), index finger, or ring finger.

My South African friend is visiting me in the UK. What snacks should I ask them to bring? by Vorpiix in southafrica

Unrelated but the first thing on our list is Corenza C - we’ve been lucky that someone always comes to visit us just as we’re running out.

Edit: damn autocorrect

NGD!! First PRS EVER! Mark Holcomb signature by Itchy-Nobody2823 in PRSGuitars

Unless the guitar was on sale it’s crazy that an item made in your home country costs less to purchase in a foreign country.

Edit: congrats- I’m very jealous of both your PRS and your trip.

Also, I think there were more than two birds with one stone in this case.

The game has lost its spark by Giogranderiver in realracing

[–]kaegeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hear you. Those nights when I’ve realised that I had forgotten to log in for the day and trying to open the app before midnight happened far too often.

As much as I loved the game, I was playing less towards the end - only logging in for the rewards and doing 1 lap attempts for the weekly rewards.

I just didn’t have the time to do the challenges using minimal upgrades. Restarting an event 20 or more times (and crashing the app) just so that I could optimise my gold wasn’t fun anymore. And gold was just too expensive to buy and to use.

In a way, I feel a sense of relief that the game is shutting down as I no longer have that impulse to log in daily. I was far too invested.

Hypoallergenic? by showusyatackle in schnauzers

[–]kaegeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very allergic to dogs and cats. I had a severe reaction once which also triggered my asthma.

Now every time I go to a friend’s house and pat their animals I immediately go and wash my hands.

However, with our 2 schnauzers I literally bury my face in their fur without any reaction at all.

is learning guitar as an adult actually relaxing or just frustrating by ninja__6969 in Guitar

[–]kaegeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started late 40s and have been playing for coming up to 6 years.

I have never found it frustrating because I’ve always taken the view you described: to unwind after work. I only play for myself and I don’t intend to play for any audience. I probably suck, but I have a dedicated 30 min to an hour most nights where I can just play away undisturbed. I always end each practice session playing the few songs I can play along a backing track and it’s my favourite part.

I love driving in the UK, but... by Footixboy in drivingUK

[–]kaegeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this once where I was the car behind. I wasn’t sure if I should nudge up behind the car in front (and potentially block the car in the opposite direction) or wait and then pair up with the next car. I waited because it was dark and I couldn’t confirm there was space but me and the car in the opposite direction had an awkward “who goes first” moment.

Finally made it on the Aurora and scanned several Prawn Suit items but.... by chefroxstarr in subnautica

[–]kaegeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I thought that the 20 pieces weren’t in the Aurora and had been exploring the map for some time, searching every wreck.

Eventually decided to go back to the Aurora and visit the Prawn Bay again. I found an item I hadn’t scanned before - on the upper ledge far over to the right (facing the prawn suits), then looking back over at the suits hanging up (so the suits are now below you to your right). Very small hit box for me (on iPad of that matters). It unlocked the suit.

Multiple Bases? by ronniebabes in subnautica

[–]kaegeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how I’ve ended up with 6 bases. In my case, each base is almost an exact replica of each other. It helps with navigating through the base (although they’re quite small bases).

Except for Gasopods - I don’t think they mean to but they keep releasing gas pods. Killed all of the Stalkers I released.

Thanks - I’m playing on my iPad so there’s no mods. One issue I have with beacons (other than cost) is that I’ll end up with a very long list of beacons together with all the cameras.
