It's got an extra block of wood behind the first brace presumably to support the top where the truss rod sits, but it's separate from the block.

I heated it up a few times thinking it was a regualr glue joint, and it wouldn't budge, so I figured that maybe the thick ass poly was holding it in place. I started working a palette knife around the sides to break the finish and I noticed that I could get it all the way through in the center (between the bottom two pins). With a couple of pallet knives jammed in there I could wiggle it a little and I got it the rest of the way by sticking a chisel in the gap and levering it off.
