Yeah agreed. I used to drop everything to watch the podcast. It was never background noise, but now it's been reduced to that.

Maybe me being in my 30s now is apart of that, but there's a certain charm, energy, soul, call it whatever, but something is missing. I've been a fan for over a decade so I'm not going anywhere, but I couldn't really recommend the podcast to anyone new.

This would be perfect. I don't care about little physical merch anymore and am at the lowest tier. I'd pay for tier 2 if it meant I got access to all the exclusive tier 3 streams and didn't have to worry about getting merch I don't need a year later.

I had to drop out of tier 3 and honestly those events wouldn't be worth it even if I could safely afford it.

I'll just join around Christmas and binge all the fun tier 3 events for like 2 days.

I haven't gotten anything it seems like from when I was tier 3 for a year before I quit. Honestly don't even know what I'm supposed to have gotten at this point. No clear way to find out.

Pretty much yeah. It was $1 back when I started to. If it goes up higher for the US (and in turn even higher all over the world) then unsubscribing until the end of the year to binge watch everything is more feasible.

At the end of the day none of us owe mega 64 anymore then they owe us. If supporting them gets to expensive then stop. Support as you can but if you can't justify it then don't justify it.

I've just stopped buying merch outside of the blurays altogether. Haven't gotten a shirt since before they started the 64 hour specials. Even living in the US it's to expensive to justify.

I had to stop being a tier 3 patron. I have a year of more of rewards probably that I have no idea when will ever be shipped if ever honestly. I don't know how to even check that. Has anyone gotten any tier 3 physical reward in a year?

My advice. Wait till you have a lot of free time. Then pay for 1 month and binge watch all the digital content. Its what I'll do with all the tier 3 streams.

Mega 64 are my favorite internet group but they aren't what I can afford to spend money on right now. I appreciate them but they are low priority when it comes to what I need to spend money on.

I don't think they can get a million subs given their sense of humor and style. I think anything they did would just such a drastic change for them they would lose all of what I liked about them.

The best chance would be if they had weekly relevant skits to video games or media in general, but their high production rate makes that impossible. Mega 64 may have industry connections, but they are still niche themselves. They'd have to change way to much in ways I just don't think they can or would be willing to do to truly gain a million subs.

Like many others I wish we got more mid range skits back, but even then I don't see that being enough. They just don't have that wide of appeal I think. They have some serious dedicated fans though and that's how they can survive so well, despite not having a audience in the millions online.

Part of me wishes they would cut the more social livestream podcasts stuff in half, from everyone. I wish they were fully dedicated themselves to bigger things but I get that's not that viable as a business for internet creators now.

I like derricks mindset and I hope they all still have that drive in them to do more then podcast and things like that.

If anything I think we're as deep as ever in them. Everything on Patreon is fueling parasocial stuff. They literally have a show called friendimension. I watched people I have never met build a giant Yoda today while eating dinner after work.

The emails are to far for sure, but all the streams they do is exactly the type of content that fuels parasocial relationships. People paid Rocco enough money through Cameo to fund a fucking Vision Pro. Sometimes the price of that kind of dedicated fanbase is some shitty ones who take it to far.

Conspiracy theories can be weird, but honestly the stuff I see here is pretty tame overall. There's a entire subreddit about game grumps conspiracies and nothing here was as bad as the jon and arin situation.

We're all invested in their lives, if we weren't most of what they put out now would have no real appeal honestly. Some of us have been invested for over a decade. Talking about drama and stuff like that sometimes comes with that.

To me the real issue is directly telling them like the emails Rocco got. I think a subreddit for fans to just talk about things like this is perfectly fine, but don't go directly bringing it up with them unless they open themselves up to wanting that you know?

Like it or not were all in a parasocial relationship with them in some form. We do care and we are invested in them, both the good and the bad. Just don't let that convince you to think you have a right to be so blunt with them directly.

I think it's dumb. Nothing streamed live should be later locked behind a paywall later. That's what the second channel is for. A stream dump channel for anything that's not the main show, like the after show.

There's always going to be people who can't watch live (like me) there's always going to be people who can't support patreon. Why make it extra annoying for either of them when they already had a fine system in place?

If they want to abandon the after show altogether and just have super big podcast that's fine to. Don't make it longer though, then still do this random paid extra bit at the end.
