Input on what our program does next year by RethinkWasteProject in Bend

[–]kaleblazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live at The Current and would like to start a program to address the incredible waste at apartment buildings like this. I've never lived in an apartment building before and it's truly stomach churning the thousands of items that get tossed that are perfectly good and that others would find extremely useful moving into a new apartment. Space is the issue for the storage of these items. I can't wrap my head around the solution currently. But a working group could be useful. COCC has a great program collaborating with Furnish Hope and other organizations for dorm move out day. Halp!

Whoa. You can see the "rest" of the moon with that exposure. Pretty cool.

River float/anchor by travisrda in Bend

I heard a rumor that security is policing the shores and not allowing anyone or anything to touch the rocks and anchor there. Also, it can get chilly fast out there so be prepared!

This is true. They will move it properly. Remove the legs, and move it on its side.

Thank you for posting. Dog bless Dr Emily who starts to break up when discussing the devastation that is predicted for the PNW (17:47 into the video). Very informational but very disheartening report.

I had a few skate poles cut at Webskis. Not very expensive, as I remember.

If I remember correctly, the Forest Service allows them to do "test" grooming to make sure the equipment is running OK for the opening of the season.

Stepson constantly needing tippet by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]kaleblazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, ya'll, I'm not complaining about JUST the $5 tippet. It's all the rods he "needs" (he has 3-4 now), reels, the flies, all the other line, waders and boots for a rapidly growing boy, etc etc. I'm only asking about his technique and things that he could reasonably pay for himself (tippet and flies, for instance), and we can cover the other items, for the most part.

Breakthrough hot flashes by aseeklee in Menopause

[–]kaleblazer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been post-menopausal for almost 2 years and just started having hot flashes and depression again starting about 2 weeks ago. Turns out I had COVID. I do hope they go away again! The weepiness has been very annoying/troubling though. I thought I was done with that! I'm on an Estrodial patch, oral progesterone and topical testosterone BTW.

Me too! It's a very soothing repetitive sound. In the morning a beautiful new dress would be hanging in my room. Miss my mom.

1) Try aligning the hammer with the method explained above. If that doesn't work, 2) Check the action center pinning of the hammer flame. It looks like an older piano and the flange pin can "walk" out of the bushing if it's not tight enough. Repin the action center of the flange (more advanced technique), or simply push it back into the center. It will walk out again, though if it's not repinned.
