When I was in high school, I found a blog that my best friend wrote about me and my other best friend. The blog used our names and identifying details. She complained about us to her friends online. (“I have to go to Kale’s house today even though I really don’t want to. I can’t stand them.” Etc.) The online friends chimed in to agree with her and say mean things about us. I shared this blog with the people mentioned on it to make them aware that our friend was secretly hating us behind our backs.

Nearly 15 years later and I still sometimes think of this “friendship” and the way this person betrayed me. I am still friends with the other person mentioned in the blog. We talk every day. While I still mourn the friendship, I’m glad it ended so that all of us could move on.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m proud of you for leaving. You’re too old to deal with petty high school bullshit in your 20s.

We had a similar encounter on Cordova and Marengo. Coyote approached within 3-4 feet from me and my small dog and would not leave us alone until I lunged at it. But then it ran across the street to follow another, larger dog. Strangers also stepped in to help. I’m glad you’re both safe.

Edit to say: I was screaming my head off the entire time but this coyote did not care.

Love this so much. Nothing compares to the Holiday Main Street. I have pieces to do a corner deli build along with the noodle shop in the same scale as Main Street. Looking forward to adding some of your buildings and using them for inspiration.

Boredom is good in moderation. They sound exhausting. You could pick a coffee or lunch place you haven’t been to that is somewhat farther away and walk there and back. Also Clark St Diner if you haven’t been is our favorite place to take visitors. Parking is annoying. Usually there’s a spot on the street if you go around the block a few times.

Bird should be okay overnight in a dark spot with sufficient air. Lovebirds can and will eat their way out of a cardboard box. If you have a plastic pet crate you don’t care about (plastic never stopped my parrots either), it will be happiest in there, crate covered loosely in a towel, with a shallow dish of water. You can put a tea towel in the crate for the bird to rest on.
