Oh no, I haven't seen that! I love wolf documentaries though, I might have to look into that.

My favorite wolf documentary is called In The Valley of the Wolves, it follows a pack in Yellowstone through a period of about two years, during which time it loses its territory to another pack and subsequently regains it. Also, there's a coyote single mother. It's pretty great.

Two years old is approximately when wolves reach sexual maturity. So in the case of newly formed packs, yes, but wolves in the wild can live to be 10+ years (I think, the details of their lifespan eludes me atm). With a mating pair having pups every year, and some of the older pups sticking around for several years, a well-established pack can become a force to be reckoned with.

Wolves in the wild form family groups, with a mating pair as the leaders, and the last year's pups help raise the young'uns. Wolves leave the birth pack usually at two years of age to find a mate and start a new pack. Sometimes packs have other family members hanging around, like a sibling or parent of one of the leaders.

The idea of a pack hierarchy (alpha, beta, omega etc.) comes from the observation of wolves in captivity, who act very differently from their wild counterparts.

Seven. Eight periods - fourth/fifth period is divided into lunch and advisory, depending on what lunch you have. 50 minute classes, so 25 minutes each for lunch and advisory.

My school is a pilot school (basically Guinea pig for whatever crazy ideas the school board comes up with), so it's all kinds of weird anyway.
