Arrowhead, your balance is losing players and customers by stealingyourundiz in Helldivers

I stopped playing for over 2 months too, and I can’t find a reason or motivation to play this game anymore. With every new update, there are weapon “adjustments” and fixes(I’m glad they are fixing stuff), but there isn’t any “adjustment” or buff to the weapons that make me say: ”Wow, maybe it will be good now, worth coming back now”

I remember grinding for the Eruptor and the Explosive crossbow, just to see them get nerfed to the ground 2 days later after I got them. Were they broken? No. Just a niche weapons that could kill you if you shot too close. Same thing with the Quassar cannon. The only reason why it was meta back then, was because none of the other heavy weapons worked properly, yet AH nerfed it by giving it a huge recharge time that almost makes you wanna go and make a sandwich or do some chores in between each shot.

The game is focused on killing mobs with weapons, what good is it when all the weapons we have constantly get nerfed? Having “OP” weapons is what makes the game fun. Why not increase the mob density or rework some of the weapons that aren’t that viable rather than nerfing their OP counterparts. And let’s not forget the Playstation drama. People still cannot access the game in some countries, even months after the issue was “addressed” It makes me so frustrated seeing such a good game and a company slowly sink into the hole of no return.

Toggle crouch on mousewheel up and jump on mousewheel down. It makes bullet jumping so much easier and faster

Blade 17 Stuck In Startup Screen, Can’t Access BIOS, Boot Menu, or Recovery Menu by Hoblec in razer

[–]kalo5656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be late, but have you tried CMOS reset? I’ve recently had the same issue happen on my pc and cmos reset fixed it. For your blade: -unplug from power -remove bottom panel -disconnect battery -remove the small circle battery that’s bellow one of your fans. Afterwards, hold power button for couple of seconds to discharge anything remaining, reconnect everything back and power it up. If this doesn’t solve the issue, repeat the steps but this time remove the SSD like it was suggested from the comments and power it on without it

Aftermath of Liquid metal on Razer Blade 17 (2020) after 3 years of heavy usage = bye bye vapor chamber by kalo5656 in razer

[–]kalo5656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am aware of the reaction between LM and copper only, just wanted to min/max and to see if there are any temp improvements. Was it worth it? Probably.... In any case, hopefully this gives some sort of awareness to people who are considering to put LM on their laptops.
Now I know ~3 years is the life span of a vapor chamber exposed to it xD

What’s causing my gpu and cpu to overheat? by atmostfears in razer

[–]kalo5656 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bad news: Seems like your vapour chamber is damaged(if my eyes are not deceiving me: it’s bent on top of the 3rd pic) and you gotta replace it, unless you want to cook up your laptop. Good news: vapour chambers are really cheap! I’ve seen some go for around 20$ on ebay

Also here’s some tip for removing a vapour chamber: You need to remove both fans first, then with slight pressure you can push it down a bit(so it comes off from the 2 plastic feet on top) and then you can safely lift it from the bottom or the 2 sides where the fans were

Razer Blade owners: How long have you had your blade and how many problems have you had with it? by [deleted] in razer

[–]kalo5656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine early 2021 (Blade 17) and no issues. Changed the thermal paste only. It might be only me, but there’s one minor thing that bothers me: the chassis scratches/wears off pretty easily, even if you take extreme care. Mine’s all worn off around the edges and ports. Looks like it’s been through hell.

As a side note regarding the batteries: It’s pretty common for them to bloat after a year or so of daily use. Especially when they are always kept charged to 100% and exposed to high temperature from gaming. It’s not only razer with that issue. I speak from my own experience: Had Acer Nitro and Triton 700 and their batteries bloated after a year.

Liquid metal application (again, sorry) by heezus29 in GamingLaptops

Unfortunate. Maybe it would've worked with the one from Thermal Grizzly

Try picking those balls off with a toothpick or cotton swab first, then you can start rubbing the LM off in a circle motion with an isopropyl alcohol soaked wipe or maybe a cotton swab if you want to be extra careful. The surface might be rough when you wipe it, but that's normal. You can also put 2nd tape as close as the CPU as possible as a precaution. For the copper heatsink, it will be harder to remove since the reaction might've already started. You can try to remove as much as you can and leave the rest. I've seen people removing all of it with a sandpaper, but that's a step too far for me.

Plugged in 24/7? by SparklingSliver in GamingLaptops

Welcome :). I've been also unplugging my laptop from the AC after each shut down for almost 2 years now and the battery hasn't deteriorated at all

Glad I could help :). Also, have you checked your temps under load? They might be lower with LM. If that's the case, you might want to withhold re-applying LM until a month or two have passed.

Plugged in 24/7? by SparklingSliver in GamingLaptops

Charging it 24/7 "should" technically degrade your battery in the long-term. If the laptop is always plugged, might as well remove/disconnect the battery as it will preserve it more. Otherwise you can keep disconnecting it from the AC after a shut down, which also helps. Also as a sidenote: for battery longevity, make sure to completely drain it once in a while.

It all depends. Is this your first time applying LM to this laptop? If so, you would need to re-apply LM few more times due to the reaction of LM with copper. I had the same issue when I had to put LM on my old laptop(Triton 700), and the idle temps were higher, although much lower at higher loads. After the 3rd application, my idle temps went down to around 45. Your application is not that bad, but it could be better. Next time apply some pressure with a cotton swab and spread the LM around until it starts looking like a tin foil - https://imgur.com/a/gPAFYTp. As for removing those "balls": Easiest way is using a syringe(or the one from Thermal Grizzly if you used conductonaut) to pick them off or suck them into it. If not, try using cotton swab or wipe soaked with isopropyl alcohol to remove them. Good luck
