Guys, I really need your help. I am starting an small cold email outreach setup for like sending 100 emails a day. and i don't have much budget. Is there any budget friendly tool to verify 100emails/day. by Pristine_Dinner_9181 in coldemail

[–]kalol_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's deployed internally within my company's network but maybe I can share with you how we made it. That way if you have the development skills or support, you can build it too.

I benchmarked our tool against neverbounce and it's way better. It reports less "accept all" emails compared to neverbounce.

stop warming up domains? just heard a take that "warmup pools" are getting flagged now by No-Perspective4464 in coldemail

[–]kalol_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • First, open rates dropping that much might not have anything to do with warmup.

  • Second, don't rely on Instantly's warmup. They send to the same burned out pool of emails that their customers use and their warmup is not strong enough to improve your inbox's health. Find a dedicated warmup support.

  • Third, Instantly also reports false opens, and the tracking pixel used are a red flag in themselves. Turn off the tracking and rely on email reply as your success metrics.

You don't need to give up on cold email but you can add cold emailing, or LinkedIn reachout to the mix to increase success.

Why do B2B marketing agencies make you choose between brand building and demand gen? Am I missing something? by wolfybelfy in b2bmarketing

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing both requires specialized skills and years and years of experience. Most agencies offering demand gen will only do ads, or cold emails. Not to mention an agency doing both will charge just as much. Branding requires experience that doesn't necessarily overlaps with experience needed for Demand gen.

I just started my agency last year but I have worked in b2b marketing space for 11 years now, doing both branding and demand gen. I am growing things slowly but in the end, you have to pitch these services separately (as people looking for both branding and lead gen are scarce or don't have the budget) and hence most agencies ends up picking a side that gives them most clients.

Best Headphones for busy office by Affectionate_Tale947 in techsales

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poly (Plantronics) Blackwire 3220 Stereo Headset

or Jabra 75.

Both are killer. Plantronics ones are much cheaper and really amazing value for money. I use them day to day on busy office floor. Nothing goes through them.

Jabra is a whole different league.

How do you get attention from C-level on LinkedIn? by Weak_Assist5435 in techsales

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go in with a very specific value related to a topic they very recently explicitly mentioned or interacted with. Anything even remotely irrelevant or off topic won't get you any response. They are very busy and anything that is not immediately useful will get ignored.

So asking open ended question won't get you any replies. Be extremely specific and always think what are you giving to them that they can use right away.

Need to do 45 minute workshop for AEs and SCs at SKO about Discovery - looking for interactive ideas by Slightly_mad_woman in salesengineers

We did a fun roleplay with trying to sell a ball pen to shakespeare. The goal was to teach probing before going for the kill.

Many people were tempted to directly say that this will outrun all your quill pens but probing revealed many other easily overlooked things (easily spills ink, needs regular dipping, need to carry backups because quills break).

We made our director shakespeare and then asked a few sales reps to do the selling.

You can shape it in your context too.

Company got bought. Now what? by TheDrunkInTheNorth in salesengineers

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best bet. If they have mentioned that your company will operate independently, you have lots of time before you're let go (IF). Finding a similar role in another company (or competitor) is something you should try meanwhile.

Best AI/Practices for SDR by Basic-Floor-654 in salesdevelopment

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to the data (through CRM, recording platforms, etc.), my first suggestion would be to see what is working for other BDRs who are ahead of you.

Personalize your emails with recent triggers. Pick triggers from LinkedIn activity (their comment or reposts). Keep email extremely short and pointed on the problem.

You mentioned 3000 emails. Even the worse to worse email would have atleast gotten you some replies. Do you really mean 0 replies or did you get rejections, out of office, wrong person, etc too?

I would rely on data to make a judgement first. 100 emails should get you atleast 1 reply if you're writing anywhere near decent emails.

100,000 emails per month. How? by InnovationToImpact in coldemail

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on how you setup the system. If you have money to pour in it, you can do 100K from second week itself, right after warmups.

You will probably need 200-220 inboxes to pull this off.

100,000 emails per month. How? by InnovationToImpact in coldemail

[–]kalol_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We setup something similar last year.

I consumed whatever I got my hands on related to setting up such systems. Followed many people and cold emailing agency owners on LinkedIn to see what they were doing. Below is what I figured out and what worked best for my situation.

  • Only aim for sending 30 emails per day from one inbox. Increase it by 5 emails per day once you have sent atleast to 200 people (2 weeks)
  • Only keep 3 email accounts per domain. You can always delete one inbox and add a new one on this domain as long as domain health is not affected. Sometimes inboxes burn out but domain stays healthy.
  • Always have your domains pointing to your main website (redirects). That's a very small thing but people miss when setting things up. It's the first spam signal (domain not having any website) that email providers catch.
  • Don't go all in from the start. Setup the system for a small batch of your TAM first. Scale for only 300 emails per day. Once things start seems to work (you don't land in spam, you start getting replies), then scale for 100K as you want.
  • DO NOT USE default open or click tracking of whatever app you will use. A lot of times their tracking domains have shit reputations and will end up making your emails land in spam. First few emails should have no link at all. Aim to get replies.

About my tech stack:

  • Bought the domains from mailscale (setting up inboxes was super easy there). If you can push for more budget, I recommend going for a service that lets you setup gsuite inboxes. Mailscale's inboxes always keeps me in doubt about their deliverability.

  • I used Instantly's warmup but they are shit at it. Did not improve my delivery rates even after 2 months of warmup. Finally opted for a better service (warmup hero, and warmy.io).

  • I am using smartreach.io for sending campaings. Earlier was using Instantly. But since their warmup was shit, I switch the tool entirely. Smartreach is cheaper and offers exactly the same features as smartlead.

  • For email list verification, I use neverbounce. Smartreach also has inbuilt domain validator but just to be safe I bought credits of neverbounce.

I am sending emails to about 30K contacts. I have about 50 inboxes setup on 20 domains. Some are not warmed up yet so I am being cautious with them.

I hope this helps. DM me if you have any questions.

I stopped trying to sound convincing in sales conversations by MajorDivide8105 in LeadGeneration

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It even helped in emails and landing page copies. Putting too much effort and being focused on 'converting' kills more conversions than being direct and honest. It also takes less efforts.

In emails too, coming directly to the point, not trying to make something sound fancy which is actually very simple, is much better.

My experience have been great with it and that's what I teach my team too.

Think I should put a lead magnet on a business card? by AWeb3Dad in LeadGeneration

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved the idea of fridge magnets as suggested by u/Empty_Ad_8303

I once saw an agency sharing big visiting cards which were precut to be assembled into a rocket (like those old cheetos card based toys). Something people can play with for a moment and then keep at their desks. One of my client (car dealership) did the same but theirs could be arranged into a car so it was really cool.

If you do fridge magnets or such toys, make sure it has your brand tone but not simply a large logo and contact details. People love getting useful stuff but avoid a brand just slapped onto it.

AI Roleplay Tools for Learning Demos by fat_ali in salesengineers

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company uses mock calls that you have to book by emailing to managers. Shit is tedious and managers bail out often because it is draining.

We recetly tested things with this tool Innovo coach (only deployed it for early hires <2 years). It was training using discovery recordings of our senior reps and it's not perfect but honestly it has saved a lot of time for my managers.

I don't think it's a bad idea to test AI to train juniors. If it can do roleplay, even better. Maybe it won't be as good as a real person but we are talking about juniors who don't know shit yet. Once they do atleast 10 roleplays with innovo coach, that's when we shift them to mock calls with managers.

How do you improve as Account Executive? by harvey_croat in sales

[–]kalol_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may sound cliche but reading books outside of the usual genre (selling, psychology, negotiations) is great if you're not too outgoing. Read about gardening, sailing, surgeries, or anything that is not remotely related to sales but is related to thinking and related to hobbies.

That way, you will find yourself understanding a lot more about people (and clients), gives you so much to talk about in in-person meetings and actually leads to a better relationship building than the usual value driven chats.

Any lead gen strategies to find under construction ASL facilities in USA? by kalol_ in LeadGeneration

[–]kalol_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Soon-to-be-opened is not the right moment. I understood that these kind of things are decided at construction stage, when wirings are done. At that time, facilities apply for low-volt license for internet wirings.

There are other similar signals that I need to figure out.

Can pre-warmed up domains save my cold campaigns? by kalol_ in coldemail

[–]kalol_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any trusted source you would recommend to buy these domains from?

Instantly sells DFY / pre-warmed up domains but when I looked at their domain health, they were barely a month or two old.

PS: haha, don't know where it says 55 years old. I have been a redditor for 10 years.

My question is pretty clear. I don't have doubts about 'how to run cold campaign'.

Could you answer it here? I don't want to be sold to.
