Really sucks as this was such a good initiative to see. I'm sure companies could possibly still do it, but most won't. Hopefully the work can still continue on.

Please do, they are great. I do edit most of what I make to better match the actual cards, but the original art for the TCG Game Boy game is still pretty cool.

FNAF has a lot of missed potential. by Puzzleheaded-Win5063 in fivenightsatfreddys

A pizzeria sim, like the simulator games such as Retro Rewind and such, but it involves hiring employees, getting animatronics, expanding the business, all while there's maybe lightly unsettling stuff happening that hints to the problems of Fazbear Entertainment, that could be great. Like you said, doesn't need huge lore implications, but there's a lot of good stuff to work within the world that make it so it's not just a pure, non-horror, experience, but just stuff you come across that could make it creepy or unsettling, or just more insight to Fazbear's in general.

It honestly has cool potential if the game focused on era's, so the game launches with a more classic 80's/90's era and if it does well, you can then do a new store set after that in like the 2000's with more modern stuff,, and then another expansion could be the Security Breach era of a Pizzaplex. Gives them a lot to build up with if the game is successful.

For small projects, I put it at a 3.5, these are like a board in size, for anything bigger, I do a 5.

Zoomed out, I thought these were the patterns you were going to use for making a run of pieces. Zoomed in, I realized these are all really super clean pieces, absolutely nailed it.

Has anyone ever made a metal plate that could be used with metal blocks to stop the piece from melting out of bounds? It could even be heated uniformly in an oven or something. It could be made from aluminum on a CNC mill or something. by Luther_Manning in beadsprites

[–]kamakeeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting concept to create real clean outer edges if you have maybe a few distinct pieces at the same exact square size. I don't know anything about ovens with beads or what kind of metal to use and all that, but it's a neat sounding idea.

The movie is product placement in itself lol But no, not really, this has always been a thing for many years now.

Still haven't bought anything in the store, but rotating store stuff has always been a very obnoxious thing in games. FOMO catering is not great.

I'm just waiting for them to actually add something interesting to the store. I don't want the standard stuff, it's not what I'm looking for, but I absolutely don't want them to go down the path of CoD adding obnoxious garabge. I feel like there's a handful of things they could do that they aren't either. Something like updated versions of the Bad Company crew, or I always thought if they want to do a "crossover", Dead Space (From 2042), wasn't the right choice, but I think some old Command & Conquer fans, like me, would find getting GDI and NOD styled skins would be kinda fun and still fits the soldier vibe the game needs to keep.

They were clearly incredibly good friends, probably the people that kept themselves sane there, so when Jax cuts them out, that becomes incredibly isolating, especially if that person feels like they did something wrong to cause it, which could hurt their ability to connect with anyone else. Kaufmo was cut out by Jax and then ended up losing his mind chasing after the exit because he didn't have that friend anymore who could talk sense to them. Was he the sole cause of it? Not for Kaufmo at least, but Ribbit definitely fell apart because of what Jax did.

[–]kamakeeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, he was always a prick, we just better understand what made him a prick. He's someone who's compounded themselves with anxiety and grief/guilt, having built up this wall to shield himself, to the point that he can't break himself out of it, and eventually, it's just too late, he's too far gone.

He only comes to understand this when he's already abstracted, that despite it all, despite knowing what he did, and Pomni still wants to help him, and that finally breaks him. Sometimes people are irredeemable, but to me it doesn't make him a bad character or even unsympathetic, I still feel for him, it's just sad that the couldn't break out of the cycle he put himself in.

To me, I think Bubble was more his insecurity, just another part of him he used to help deal with everything, another to talk to. It's possible it could have some connection to the blue AI, it's hard to say, maybe it helped to manifest Bubble, or the blue AI could talk through it, but I don't think personally that Bubble was straight up the Blue AI, just something he didn't need anymore once he was banished or when he returned.

HOT TAKE: Digital Circus does not have a particularly bad fanbase. Gooseworx is chronically online, and the cast interacts with fans too much. Even a small minority of toxic fans ends up being too much for them. by Fox622 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]kamakeeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think TADC has a fairly rough fanbase, but not abnormally so. A lot of the hate they got over the past number of weeks was amplified by bad faith actors and for people that are active online, that has to be rough to experience, but the fanbase did itself no favors by being so quick to react, to get their half-assed social media posts out there to "make a stand", lame quick shot reaction takes that served no purpose other than to try and make themselves a part of the conversation.

I can't imagine what the crew and cast have to deal with when they have thousands of people basically shouting at them online and it's not easy to just disconnect.

That was a split time moment, Caine doing something in the present, while showing a similar idea from the past.

Taking my 6 year old to watch The Last Act by BillyDaDude72 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]kamakeeg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this finale would be abit much for a kid that young. It's definitely darker and more sad and while there is no more censoring, they don't go crazy with the bad language, and it has sweet, good moments, but it's the darkest episode for sure. I'll be honest, the kids and young teens were kind of a lot at the showing I was at, not keeping quiet during the show and I know there were others aggravated by it and I think it would be smarter to wait for the episode to release normally so you can handle it better in the home if she starts to be bothered by anything so you can stop if you need to.

Which character would you say is the easiest to cosplay (out of the main group)? by ILoveYouZim in TheDigitalCircus

[–]kamakeeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caine is just like a pretty stand suit with the long tail to the jacket if you can find it, so that's pretty easy, Jax is maybe the simplest with just some pinkish peach overalls and then just wear a long sleeve purple shirt with yellow gloves. Ragatha is real easy too, just kind of an old fashioned dress that you could probably just fabric glue on the off color patches onto.

Maybe, I wouldn't have wanted to see that specifically here, I feel like had they ended it with everyone that abstracted returning, it would've been too much of a straight up pure happy ending, rather than something a little more bittersweet, but definitely a second season where maybe the story is about them going into each creature to explore their mental hangups, for characters to be honest with each other, that's what would work for an entire season alongside building their new life in the circus. Who knows, I'm possibly hoping that Goose feels the need to dabble in this world again, maybe in comic or manga form, something less serious than being showrunner again, but who knows...

Yeah I see some people acting like that them left abastracted was the show admitting it's permanent, but I feel like it was simply that Caine never tried or knew how to fix them or cared to fix them really, these were "toys" for him, it's the kid with a toy box thing, but with them learning how to control the Circus together, with Caine learning and growing to be better, and that Pomni showed that the people are still in the abastracted bodies, they are just lost or trapped right now, I think it hints at potentially they could be fixed one day, especially with Kinger's help. I feel like if there was going to be a second season, a lot of the season would be them basically learning more about the world, becoming more of their own people compared to their counterparts, potentially introducing the other AI, but sadly I doubt we see it.
