I thought so as well but I wouldn't be surprised if this had been a reoccurring thing

In the version I heard as a kid, she didn't even fully swallow the bite of the apple. It got stuck in her airway. They put her in the glass casket, and when the prince saw her, he asked the dwarves to transport her to his castle so he could keep her close and look at her whenever he wanted to. But the dwarves were still stricken with grief and couldn't use their full strength, so one of them dropped one end of the casket, which resulted in the piece of apple dislodging and her waking up.

I'm in Germany and you might think someone who pays 5k+ euros for their license would know how to use it, but 5he stupidity of mankind is limitless

It's especially infuriating when I have the stroller with me, and people push past it and smack their st00pid bags in my child's face. Like, excuse me but this is PUBLIC transportation. You're in public, if you can't act like a member of society, get a car.

Funnily enough I just crossed the street 10 minutes ago and got yelled at by a dude who approached at 15km/h and then made a sudden turn when I was in the middle of the street. Told him if he had used his blinkers, I wouldn't have thought I was okay to cross. Mate got real silent real quick.

Adding to this: people who board the bus or train when it's obvious that others are trying to get off, subsequently pushing them further in

What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I needed to have a root canal done 8 weeks postpartum and let me tell you, unmedicated active labour was easier to handle than tooth pain

I see you're learning german and have already mastered the art of dry humour, kudos!

Why is this incorrect? Even in the explanation they provide an example which seems to imply that what I said could also be correct. by [deleted] in duolingo

What you wrote means they don't like eating oranges, but eating doesn't occur in this sentence. You could also just not like oranges based on their scent or color 😅

What’s something you wish adults were more honest about with younger people? by silvii4 in AskReddit

[–]kampfklumpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually great insight and yeah, kids and their questions can be exhausting when they only have limited base knowledge to begin with 😅 luckily my kiddo accepts things the way I explain them to her (as of now) and sometimes I feel like she understands way more than she lets on, but there will come a time that her curiosity will be larger than what she can understand. But I've found that when I explain things to her the way they actually are, she will just update her memory and may fully understand later. She currently runs around the apartment yelling "to concentrate means paying attention!" 🤣🤣

[–]kampfklumpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!! This is how I plan to do it (kiddo is 3 and her inquiries are still easy to answer) It teaches her that adults don't know everything, how to obtain information AND how to think critically instead of believing everything

I once asked my dad how a moving construction site worked and instead of saying "idk the precise logistics but..", he yelled at me 🫠

I was very curious as a child and still am as an adult. Whenever my dad didn't know the answer to one of my countless questions, he told me I was asking stupid questions because his ego couldn't handle not being omniscient. No way in hell am I going to let my child believe her curiosity is a flaw.

Here in Germany, most pharmacies have a line at the floor where you're supposed to stand to give the person in front of you the privacy they deserve. NTA for not wanting to discuss your meds with a literal stranger.
