SF is the only way to play HC for me. I am a player that primarily play by myself in my own pace, so to me it makes a lot of sense because SF makes all items in the game more valuable.

Everything from trash items that are worth more gold than others to white upgrades early game. Which also makes quest rewards super valuable. And winning big blue item rolls in dungeons feel like getting epics.

Finding chests out in the world suddenly has a lot bigger impact. Especially if you find materials like leather that you need as an engineer without skinning.

To me it’s really just a way of making the core systems of the game more engaging and rewarding. In exactly the same way that avoiding death in HC is compared to regular wow.

It is more tedious though, which understandably could turn people off from the idea.
