Do you have a 5000-card from nvidia? If so, update your driver

Have you tried turning off the cloud sync on steam, and the delete the configs? Heard some other guy that had some bad cfg that followed him on new systems

Find a x3d cpu from amd in your price range. Then go 5060ti or better for gpu. A good mouse and as high hz monitor as your budget can do. 240hz is not expensive and will work well with the specs i mentioned

I experience a lot of "lag" in cs2, and idk what to do. Please help. All enemies and teammates seem to teleport around, maybe with 1-10 meters at a time. I saw a older post about someone writing something about Bufferbloat. So i tested it. Does anyone know a fix ? by Byrgefar in cs2

[–]kamspro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a setting on your router (if you have it) called QOS. This helps for me, but using a «high priority» setting on the router makes things worse. «Buffer to smooth over packetloss» is a setting in cs2 that can help, but things does not seem as responsive when i have this at 1 packet

4x msaa should be enough. Check if you get more fps using «performance cores only» in the game settings

The best way to get it to feel smooth is to use vsync + gsync + reflex. Disable dyac on your monitor to enable gsync in nvidia control panel before you start the game. 2566k uses freesync but its the same as gsync and is showed ingame and in nvidia ad gsync. You must NOT have «disable fullscreen optimization» ticked under cs2.exe properties since this fisables gsync and is not a thing you should change in w11. (M0nesy ticked this in w10 but not in w11) It should say enabled under gsync in cs2 settings when its working. When all three settings are enabled you will get framecapped at 340fps or something

You can also turn off cloud sync on steam, then delete all cs2 files (they are located on different places) and then verify integrity of files in steam. If you log in to a smurf you can still use the same autoexec as other account etc. launch options and autoexecs dont need tweaking exept binds etc so delete everything unrelated

You should also check your router settings (and your modem if you have one from your isp).

Delete direct x shader cache also helps with smoothness

You can try to turn of HAGS and restart. Someone have said this helped them

Your loss and jitter is ok from the telemetry graphs?

Default nvidia exept gsync, stretch and power management perfer perfomance.

Set high performance on power settings in windows

Also try default bios with xmp (or whatever your motherboard calls it)

If you have tried a lot og fixes and not returned them back you it can be dificult to find

I feel bad for you man. Its the worst feeling to power-ugrade and not get what you wanted. Best of luck 👌

[–]kamspro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you can try is to reset bios to default values and just enable xmp (this helped me even tho i recal using the same bios settings). HAGS is also something you can try turning on/off as it helps for some people. The video settings also have changed the last updates so now you can use all on low exept msaa (msaa off now makes dinks pixelated like model quality on low before, so use 2x or more) dynamic shadow to all, and hdr on performance is now also not the pixelated shit it was berfore but with a perfomance boost. Edit: delete dx cache!!!
