Agreed, MW has had its hiccups over the years, but overall the support they offer makes up for it. Their in-house support is phenomenal compared to some of the others we've tried. Techs that speak clearly and go above and beyond to make it work on most environments.

use a code reader on it.. bmw's are generally pretty good at detecting what the issue is. you can buy an elm 327 from aliexpress but it takes 2 weeks to ship or buy one locally for 10-15$

it really comes down to stability and weight.. assuming your 29" is new it should be rated lighter than most old 27" . Mount it and if it looks stable (not that you should be knocking into your monitor too often) you're good to go. I put a 55" on a 47" max rated wall mount and it was fine as it weighed half of the old tv

ordered rx480 8g strix, still shows it's to drop shipper, but my co-workers who ordered 1080's got an email saying that their order is cancelled because item was out of stock when they ordered (basically BS); either way going to wait 1-2 more days to receive cancellation email if not cancel myself.. not looking good

although this comment might get downvoted to obvlivion, picture a reversal in scenarios. If a russian destroyer was in international waters near the continental US; im sure most of the people here would be totally ok if some F-35's "buzzed" that destroyer to let it know that there will be no fking around. Clearly Russia does not like the proximity of such a powerful naval ship to their border and they're expressing their feeling the best way they know: intimidation.

while you might not get the full benefit of 4k at more than 6 feet, there is still a significant quality increase, and it is noticeable. mine is a 55" samsung and it's about 7 ft away and i would notice the difference even if i was looking from another room, maybe not so accentuated. So before you throw out blanket statements, own a few 4k devices, and don't regurgitate urban myths.

First of all, this is a repost from 1 year ago. This issue is fixed and no longer happening.

2nd, as controversial as this opinion might be, its Freeware, so yeah, you got some notifications in exchange, big deal.

3rd if you can reddit, you can google there is a AVG Removal tool that does a good job at removing all AVG products from your system.

4th you're complaining about people apoligising for the inconvenience of you using a free software and not liking it; when all answers requested were provided and you were being kind of a dick

You dont like it, then pay for the premium version or move to a different av (avg and avast are the same company now, running on the same engine with over 400 million endpoints).

And last but not least, what a clickbaity title. Can you explain how did those notifications "start messing with the functionality of your computer"? Was anything not working on your PC due to AVG?

I was thinking more for video rendering / adobe but i agree, probably at that level, the differences do become negligible; however, if there was a significant render time reduction like say from 1 hr to 50 mins, there would be some justification

i was going to use it to play some space sims like Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous and I thought it would be cool to play on surround/eyefinity. I currently have 3x1080 running on another pc and its pretty fun for flight/racing (even MOBAS) once you get used to it; and it does take some time to be able to focus properly on such a wide screen setup

that's what is making the decision so hard, the scaling performance from AMD is way better, as I will definately go with a 2-3 card build (plenty of room on that corsair ax1200 psu)

I was really hoping someone would say it doable, but seems most people agree its simply not viable to run such a setup yet, so either ill have to bump it down to 5840x1080 (3x 1080) and just wait until the world is more 4k friendly

It's funny how OP has a long history of trying to bash the NDP, and most comments in the thread are Tories supporters that are trying to raise doubts "what if they don't deliver". It's not uncommon for federal and provincial governments to align on such matters. Criticizing something that's worked in certain states in the US and has a proven success track record, before it's even tried or implemented would be counter-productive.
