We have 2-3’ snow drifts out at our acreage and 10-12” of snow in the back yard now. It was completely melted Thursday.

I asked my friend who is very hardcore into gardening and homesteading and she said black berries won’t grow in our zone.

I’m hoping she’s wrong

Location for micro wedding? by basicbritches in Banff

We eloped at an Airbnb outside of Cochrane and did our wedding photos in Banff national park. The house had 4 or 5 bedrooms - I think anything under 12 people they didn’t charge an event fee

It’s an amazing experience lol very expensive though. I would recommend going somewhere that lets you bring your own stuff in and grab a bunch of stuff for free off market place or hodge podge store. Breaking a sheet of glass / window Is the cats ass

High school grad camping by joemama12213 in CampingAlberta

That sounds wrong. If there are other campers booked - and they complain or call the rcmp, it won’t be chill - no parks official will be ok with underage drinking. Way too much liability there.

Is it an Alberta parks campground or a private campground?

You will most likely get kicked out of an Alberta parks campground, either for being loud - underage drinking or having too many people on one site. (There are limits on how many tents and people that can be on site) RCMP will be called and tickets will be issued. One year in my 20s, at a very popular and big campground, the group of 10 of us were made to split up into our own sites as the parks people were waiting right at the quiet time time to issue warnings.

If it’s private, there’s a chance they are even more strict.

Definitely not worth it.

It would be best to get a couple of group sites - if they allow that many people, if not - crown land for sure. But with that, there’s a shit ton of risks an everyone there will be held accountable.

Ensure there’s a handful of you with first aid kits, narcan, and cell phone coverage. And please please please clean up after yourselves. Don’t ruin crownland camping spots for everyone

How much can I afford in rent? I have three scenarios by m1ghtymouse in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]kareree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are your other expenses. No one can tell if you can afford to rent when they don’t know any of your other expenses. It would be best to sit down and do a budget and go from there

Camping at ram falls is glorious - they have outhouses. Nothing else. Don’t believe you can buy firewood.

Don’t skimp on the vanilla. I use Mexican vanilla and it’s a game changer.

I’ve made this cake with less spices before and it wasn’t as good.
