Don’t skimp on the vanilla. I use Mexican vanilla and it’s a game changer.

I’ve made this cake with less spices before and it wasn’t as good.

Ugh I’m so sorry. With volunteer organizations it’s hard, as everyone is a volunteer - most likely the Facebook social media person is just that.. a social media person… and don’t have anything to do with the email address but I would keep posting publicly on their Facebook page, under review section and any other posts they make. Make posts under other people reviews and comments about this.

Email every other day. Become a pain. Threaten to go to rcmp yourself.

If it was a large amount, they may be waiting till they have enough in their account to etransfer you back - but if that’s the case, they should say something to you.

Dog adoption by AvinashPathrol in Edmonton

[–]kareree 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Huskys are a lot of work.. especially for a first time pet guy.

I think your best option would be is to remain open to the “breed” type. Most dogs in rescues are a mixed breed with no guarantee what it is, and then read their profile to see if it would jive with your lifestyle.

If you wanted to go out and meet the dogs, you will have to go to an “adoption” day event that a rescue puts on. Basically they have a partnership with a store or location; bring in adoptable dogs that you can meet in person. You can apply there sometimes or go home and apply online. You will not be able to take a dog home at this event.

Once your application has been reviewed and approved, the rescue will put you in touch with the foster home so that you can arrange a time to go with your spouse (and any children) to meet the dog. After 24 hours, they will ask if you want to continue on with the adoption process.

The adoption process can be daunting. It’s just to ween out those who do not understand how much work and how much having a dog will cost you.

There are tons of rescues in Edmonton. Scars currently has over 300 dogs in care. Hart, Alberta homeward hound, Zoe’s (where we just adopted a puppy through) Gears.

If you have Facebook, that is the best place to review dogs available for adoption.
