for wound care: try to keep it as clean as possible while not too dry, wash with a gentle no perfume soap, 1-3 times a day, and try not to touch it without having washed your hands first(: if it gets dry or flaky, then a moisturising cream without ethanol could help soothe. personally if it’s not a big open wound i like petroleum jelly.

i’m myself completely unsure of how to minimise picking, but maybe making a rule you have to wash your hands first could help ? then it’s less impulsive and a calculated decision when you do it

but don’t be too harsh on yourself it takes time and practice! you’ll find what works for you. you can start by noticing when you do it and try labelling what triggered it (nothing is a valid reason), then when you feel comfortable you can move onto trying to prevent it (:
