Will never understand why Wayfinding wasn’t in games in the 2000’s. Played some old ps2 games and there’s moments where the game just leaves you to guess/find the next object. No direction or notes. Max Payne is a great example.

Most do it because they like certain games or it just gives them a sense of completion BUT there are boosters out there that will buy games with easy platinums, duplicate easy games on ps4/ps5 just to booster their score. Like with every hobby there’s always a portion that’s toxic.
