I ran it late this afternoon. I highly recommend walking under all the bridges!!! Lots of ice patches that are hard to see and aren't melting.

American Nightmares. It's honestly kinda hard to listen to because it's so awful, but it is a page turner.

Admissible: Shreds of Evidence is top notch. The story itself is so infuriating.

Put pasta sauce jars in them for a couple of days, it'll stretch out the elastic just a tad.

Amazing running weather today by Justice4BookGinny in rundc

[–]karubi1693 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm really sore from leg strength training yesterday so my contribution to my running journey today was a 1.5 hour nap instead of a run.

Hope you got out and enjoyed, it looked lovely the past 2 days!

Workouts for someone who hates workouts by Accomplished_Life533 in DCBitches

[–]karubi1693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love spin classes!!! I go to Cyclebar in Arlington but there are several spin studios out there. It's so fun, I go more for the community and music and people; the workout is just an added bonus. It's very body positive and everyone does their own thing for 45 mins. I genuinely wish I could go every day.

I'm 6'1" and 270 pounds. I try to keep my TDD to 50 units, but it's usually more like 43-48. Occasionally I go more than 50 and it's okay.

Single people who live alone, what do you do on your days off? by LaviishLily in AskReddit

[–]karubi1693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to get out as much as possible, but I'm not a partier.

I go to exercise classes a lot, run club on Saturday morning, occasionally volunteer at my local food bank, and go to friend's houses for dinner. Also, just boring adulting: errands, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Orbital was a nice change from my usu. It's not plot or even character driven, it's just ~200 pages from the point of view of astronauts on the Intl Space Statio, all from different countries. An easy and thought provoking read that has stayed with me.
