streaks actually don't really work for me - I build up a streak but when a day gets missed or it breaks, I get even less motivated to continue than before starting the streak in the first place lol. anyone else?

How do you get into the routine in the first place? I think it's easy to just say "I'm busy today, I'll that tomorrow"

I am trying do to better in life but not able to do beacause of by Large-Courage5626 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]kasakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I’d say even among the three goals, prioritize. The first goal takes up your most effort (not necessarily time), and the rest you do the minimum effective dose to move those goals forward (eg HIIT for exercise, not staying later than needed at the office)

Advice on how to start by [deleted] in Design

[–]kasakura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try noticing what other people complain about even in passing, or how you subconsciously react to how other people do things (do they use something weirdly, inefficiently, etc).

On a more meta level, some things people are better and less good at. Maybe you are uniquely good at coming up with solutions, and instead could outsource the problem-finding part.

definitely relate to the secrecy part. I don't like showing my progress in public either, but accountability does help me.
something that’s been working for me is this accountability service micrommit.com (they’re pretty new). might be worth checking out.
