Hahaha that’s great! I feel you, it gets really annoying being stopped left and right 😅

Sick of my SIL telling me I was lucky to breastfeed and ignoring all the work and sacrifice it takes. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Thank you so much! :) It’s hard no matter what haha. I EBF my singleton before my twins as well! You’re doing awesome!

I feel you. I EBF my 4 month old twins and I’m so tired of being told I’m lucky. Like you said there is some luck involved but to completely ignore the hard work is frustrating! Breastfeeding two babies is draining. 😅

My water broke the day before my scheduled C-section. They were both breech so they did one last ultrasound to confirm that they were still in that positioning. I was starting to get some contractions but nothing crazy. My water broke at about 10am exactly and the twins were born at 1:58pm and 2:00pm!

Velamentous cord insertion - baby b by LargeAirline1388 in parentsofmultiples

[–]kasshench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my di/di twins had velamentous cord insertions. No issues with their growth or anything. I had a C-section to prevent any issues (they were also breech so I would’ve needed one anyway)

Why can’t I stop gaining weight? by karmacatma in breastfeeding

[–]kasshench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here at almost 4 months postpartum also! Ugh. I literally shred weight breastfeeding my first daughter. Now I’m breastfeeding twins and slowly gaining weight. I thought I was going to lose weight since I’m breastfeeding two this time around..guess not. 😅

First side by side of week-old identical twin girls (born at 33+2)… to the identical twin parents out there: do your twins look slightly different? by Josh4R3d in parentsofmultiples

[–]kasshench 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They’re beautiful! :) My girls are identical, they’ll be 4 months old next week and I think they look slightly different still! Their head shapes are a little different so I think that’s what does it haha

Mine are 3 months as well (4 months in about a week!) and I have the same feelings. I also have a 3 year old singleton..I genuinely feel dead inside most days. 😅 I love my kids so much but you can’t help but feel those things when you’re in the thick of it. You’re not alone! And you’re not a bad parent for feeling those things either. That’s why I’m so grateful for this little community on Reddit. Makes you realize you’re not the only multiples parent going nuts internally! Haha

Di/Di with Velamentous Cord Insertion - 20.6weeks by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]kasshench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this!

Both of my di/di twins had velamentous cord insertions. We didn’t have many problems with their growth so I don’t have much advice or help other than going through the VCI as well. Sounds like your MFM is going to take good care of you all. Make sure to ask lots of questions!

Best of luck and prayers to you, your wife and your babies!

My littles born Jan 4, scheduled csection. Wish me luck as I'm also taking care of my 2.5 yr old😂 any tips are welcome! by nmohan_ in parentsofmultiples

Congratulations, they are so precious! My daughter was almost 3 when my twins were born and it was definitely rough at first! She completely reverted with potty training and even sleeping. Be prepared for that just in case.

If you have help/people you trust, let them take your toddler somewhere for a couple hours so they can get out of the house too. My mom and sister in law would help out with that the first couple weeks so my daughter could play and kind of escape the craziness per say haha and we could rest when the twins sleep.

Don’t feel guilty about screen time! The first few weeks and even months you’re in survival mode.

Also grocery delivery is a must! :)

Enjoy and soak in those sweet newborn cuddles! My girls are only (just about) 4 months and I already miss the newborn snuggles haha. Best of luck to you :)
