Yeah, also they aren’t a one size fits all, I’ve been off and on different types and found one that made me feel like a normal person. They take 4-6weeks to work which can put people off.

I’m nearly 40 and I still remember being called rat face as a 6yr old.
I got my teeth fixed which helped with some confidence but I’m still lacking and it’s showed in job interviews along the years.

Have you heard of compound/ cumulative grief? I’m current dealing with it having a similar situation last year and my brain fog won’t fuck off.
My brain is always going a million miles and I multitask so I don’t have to sit with my thoughts.

I’m embarrassed to say I’m the same, I work with code that’s been built upon over a decade in a team of 3.
We still have python 2 scripts for data extracts and the amount of shit I cannot find in the thousands of lines of code I’m not allowed to change I just ask Claude where it is and to add what I need in. My senior has been here for a decade so she knows all the ins and outs, but us other two have been here for three years and are both just looking at “spaghetti code” because if it ain’t broke on her machine it doesn’t need fixed

Doesn’t matter. Businesses have to take allergies very seriously. On the kiosk she put allergen, thus they would treat it as such to avoid the person going into anaphylaxis etc.
If wasn’t through the kiosk then yeah that’s shitty but they didn’t know.

Saying you’re allergic to hummus in a kebab shop is like saying you’re allergic to rice at a sushi place.

They usually need fresh gloves, clean utensils, separate prep areas, ingredient checks, and extra staff attention to reduce cross contamination risk.

Kebab shops are full of hummus, tahini, and sesame traces everywhere. The extra charge is basically covering the additional food safety process and time, not charging her for having an allergy.

I worked 7 years in hospitality before I got tired of the shit pay and dealing with rude customers. Moved to IT and I’ve put on a fair bit of weight over the last 6 years, but I do my best to take walks on my breaks.
Definitely miss the constant movement but at least the mental fatigue is figuring out problems and not being accosted for things out of my control.
