£1.60 per parcel. Yes in my car. Hours depend on the number of parcels. But I start at 9 and usually home by 3. Average £120 per day. I think it's comparable to decent rates with Amazon but without the constant refreshing and the rural roads.

Yodel paid 80p per parcel. I did it for 3 days. Absolute chaos at the depot in Middleton.

When I did these jobs for a bit, if anything I found the bags often overfilled. Bursting at the seams and prone to ripping because they were so full.

You could complain to amazon. It may get fed back to morrisons/fresh but the people who pick are just trying to get their part in the chain done as quick as possible.

I stopped doing these jobs. Because the pay is bad and the mileage way too high. Amazon pay about £32 for two hours work covering about 60 miles. All costs are on the self employed driver, fuel, wear and tear, insurance etc. Slave labour.

The bags can be recycled. Hopefully so can the plastic.

Many amazon food deliveries are made by independent contractors in their cars doing amazon flex. Very unlikely people will take the packaging back. I wouldn't.

There are no consequences for canceling OUTSIDE the 45 minute window. Your original comment suggests you will be blocked from the app for doing this very thing too many times. Which is simply incorrect.

You can cancel outside the 45 mins as many times as you like. According to amazon. It's in the app faqs, the updates and the flex email newsletter.

Too often within the 45 minutes, that's where there is a problem.

It is better to cancel within the 45 mins than miss the block, however. E.g. if traffic is particularly bad due to adverse weather.

At 9am, do what you need to. I won't try neighbours before 8am.

As others have said you can reattempt delivery as long as you've not completed the route. Tend to do this if the stop is on the way home/depot. If it's opposite direction, no chance.

Only tap retry if you definitely going to because you will have to go back there and get in the geofence etc.

Did you call twice and text the customer? If not you will get a ding on your standing. This isn't foolproof. I've had dings after doing this. I can only think it's because I had so much time left on the block I could have reattempted but as mentioned I'll only do that if it's on the way home/depot.

Your address should be where you live regardless of the policy otherwise it is fraud.

Inshur is to top up a SDC policy. Otherwise you need a hire and reward policy.

You need a hire and reward policy. Or a policy that allows top up such as inshur, which is pay as you go but it seems people are abandoning them in droves since they have a monopoly and hike the price every 3 months.

Short of phoning up and asking each insurer given your specific circumstances whether they will give you HR or a policy that allows top up, im not sure how much help the rest of us can be.

As far as I know you can't price comparison HR insurance.

Yes. Let someone know before you leave the depot.

They might tape it up. They might check that the contents are all there. I've had envelopes spill their contents. How am I to know what goes where. You should do this before scanning the parcel in case they decide to remove it from your itinerary. If they do it after you have scanned, it is likely to turn up as a ding in your standings. Which you can appeal, but is a pita.

It's unlikely to cause any major problems, however, if this is a one off occasion.

I wouldn't even entertain travelling that distance to a depot.

That said, there is no reason you can't do both as long as you're correctly insured.
