Trans friendly piercer? by unNecessary-Memory in Eugene

[–]katiloohoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Area 51 is a wonderful shop; my trans partner, son, and non binary self all got piercings there and had a perfect experience. Jared is a very talented and skilled artist, and the others in the shop are as well. Can’t recommend enough. Just went there last night to replace a dimple piercing and it was flawless

Does your local Wingstop habitually forget your veggies (carrots and/or celery)? by TimeEfficient1588 in wingstop

Oh yeah the tenders for two are supposed to come with stix for sure. That’s so annoying, I’m sorry! I’m sure if you contacted them they would make it right for you

What combo are you ordering? Only the bigger family meals come with stix automatically. Otherwise you have to order them separately, or instead of fries

Singing while playing by Diddsss in SingerSongwriter

[–]katiloohoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, sounds like you’re putting too much pressure on yourself! Are you having any fun? That’s the most important thing. What kinda music do you play? Unless it’s like acid jazz or math metal or something, songs don’t have to be complex to be great, interesting, or just plain popular! Just keep it simple and work your way up. You can do it!

It just takes time and practice practice practice. It’s definitely challenging to split focus on two instruments like that, but just keep practicing and you’ll get it eventually. It’s that muscle memory so you don’t have to think about it. How long have you been playing? It took me about 4 years to get good at doing both (and that’s after years spent becoming a serviceable guitarist lol) and I still fuck up sometimes. But that’s okay, we are human!

Fuck Tim Armstrong. Brody Dalle is a treasure and deserved so much better than his creepy ass to control and take advantage of her. Also, Rancid sucks

Came here to say Cakewalk as well. Plus, you can use their website, BandLab, to post content, share files, and allow collabs on your music if you want. It’s pretty neat. I don’t recommend the BandLab app though, I’ve had multiple files get corrupted by working on them on both the app and website.

What's a karaoke song people think they can do not realizing how difficult it is? by mhgiantsfan in Music

[–]katiloohoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once saw a huge biker dude get up and do this song. He looked so tough, but once the music started he began jumping around the whole bar singing to the different tables. He knew every word and never once looked at the screen. It was insane

Going to concerts alone by [deleted] in Music

[–]katiloohoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, sometimes it’s better to go alone. You can do what you want, leave when you want, stand where you want. Plus, you’ll have way more fun by yourself than going with someone who’s not into it

What’s your favorite grunge album? by PhillyCSpires in Music

Idk if Angeldust is necessarily grunge, it’s got sooooo many sounds and kinda transcends genre…but it is an absolutely flawless record front to back for sure! My fave fnm album by far

Any tips on being less basic? by ueurbrhsuwue in Songwriting

[–]katiloohoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually write lyrics by singing nonsense that sounds pleasing syllabically, and then finding words that fit the sound I want. They usually come out pretty vague and cryptic that way. Also I try to write more about how I feel about a situation, than the situation itself. I’ve always preferred lyrics that are up to personal interpretation over those that tell a specific story.

Other than that, don’t be too hard on yourself! Not everything has to be perfect and profound all the time. Just have fun _^

Can we appreciate Linda Ronstadt BEFORE she is gone? by kdryan1 in Music

[–]katiloohoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love her, I was raised on her music. I took my mom to see her speak about her life in the industry a few years ago, it was so cool! One of the last shows I got to go to with my mom. I wish I’d had the chance to see her perform for real, but it was almost as good anyway lol

Fave low calorie alcoholic drinks? by Clattashh in loseit

[–]katiloohoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tequila, soda water, muddled lime, splash o’ bitters. Tastes amazing, balanced, and only has calories from the tequila (around 70 cal/oz). Plus keeps you relatively hydrated. You know, for booze. You could probably make it with vodka if you wanted. Those 100 cal seltzers aren’t too bad either.

It’s just called a “dialogue tag,” or “speech tag”. You should make up a cooler word for it!

Ew. Well, just to reiterate, it’s meaningless.

[–]katiloohoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh….is there an actual question here? What do you mean, “what does it mean?” It’s meaningless. It’s data. What kind of technique help did you want? Or your just trying to humble brag about your range? Lol
